Jaya Jagannath

Dear YND,

Blessings of Sri Krishna: My views are as under:

> Dear Gurudev,

>

> Hare Krishna. Jaya Jagannath!

>

> If you kindly allow, I'll continue with my questions on the 3d chapter.

>

> Vs. 35-38. What are those "lords of the year, month etc." In the statement

> "the lords of the year, month, day, and hora are stronger than the other

> in ascending order"? How to calculate them and how to apply this

> knowledge.

SR: Jataka Parijatha : Read all about this in these books by Prof Shastri. A

really brilliant translation.

> Also how to apply the last statement there that "Saturnh, Mars, etc. are

> also stronger than the other in the ascending order?"

SR: This is their natural strength.

> Also in general where is the knowledge of relative strength of benefics

> and malefics in krishna and sukla paksa as well as uttarayana and

> daksinayana used?

SR: The Sura's i.e Sun Jupiter, Moon & Mars are stronger in Sukla Paksha

whereas the Asura i.e Venus,Merc, Rahu, Ketu, Saturn are stronger in Krishna

Paksha. The natural benefics are stronger in Uttarayana while the natural

malefics are stronger in dakshinayana.

> Vs. 45-46. "Rahu has 8 months while Ketu 3 months" - how to understand

> this?

SR: Later This is too elaborate.

> Vs. 48. What is meant by Naisargika Dasa?

SR: Natural periods of planets. first Moon Dasa and Mother is the most

important person in the childs life. This is till 4 years etc.

> Vs. 49-50. Exaltation and debilitation. Could you please give some analogy

> to better understand these concepts - like you explained the difference

> between the Mooltrikona and Swaksetra. And what are the exaltation,

> debilitation, swaksetra and mooltrikona signs for Rahu and Ketu - I saw

> different opinions on this?

SR: Too-detailed later after kargill is over.

> Is there also any explaination of why the planets get Exalted/debilitated

> in the particular signs?

SR: they achieve their objectives.

> Vs. 51-54. To which extent do you use the specific Mooltrikona degrees of

> the signs? Usually I notest that for most purposes just the notion of

> Mooltrikona sign is used without distinguishing the exact degrees.

SR: Don't get into degrees now. Leave these things for later when you do

varga. Every part has its meaning.

> Vs. 55. Is there any explaination of the natural relationships of the

> planets. Why 4th, 2nd, 12th, 5th, 9th and 8th signs? Also, conclusively,

> what are the rules for natural relationships for Rahu and Ketu?

SR: I could not understand this question. Please elaborate.

> Vs. 59-60. Ratio of Effects. Which phalas are reffered to here? Natural

> significations? Or temporal, sthira and chara too? Can other factors

> override this rule?

SR: What ratio is this? Please give me the sloka.

> Vs. 61. To which extent do you use the Upagrahas?

SR: I use whatever the Maharishi's have taught.

> Vs. 71-74. Again what is the proper way of understanding this statement

> regarding auspiciousness of one's birth depending on Pranapad position? In

> which sense is it auspicious or inauspicious?

SR: It is a poor translation. The good and bad effects of each Pranapada

have been explained. There is nothing auspicious or inaouspicious about the

Prana. this is there in everybody. this is a poor translation.

> Sorry for loading you with so many questions.

SR: It's OK. I am too tied down now with Kargill etc. i will answer later

the remaining.
