Guest guest
Narasimha, I think again, you overstate Mr. Rao's investment in his opinion. I acknowledge that Sri Rath is a scholar and an expert in his field. And I also concur that when one says something, one should be willing to stand behind it. Actually, if one knows me personally, they also know that I tell them to +ACI-look at Parasara first+ACI-, so we have no disagreement here (I tend to follow the Upagraha significations very closely, because so little is written on these). The claim that Mr. Rao made was that he had many readings done by Vermuri which he researched -- not just a few pages. He also claimed to test them. My own experience, is that the way Mr. Rao taught Jaimini seems to work. This does not mean that other systems may not be accurate as well. Narasimha, it is not really important to win the argument, is it? I just think that this sort of sniping gets in the way. (And it bothers me when ANYONE does it) I am continually (I hope) learning and taking and synthesizing the best knowledge. Some people need a certain measure of ambiguity to find their way. I function best in that type of environment. Others need the certainty of specific guidelines. Both paths (and I will insist this is true) lead to the truth.
