Dear Zoran,

Lordship of Rahu and Ketu was very clearly mentioned by Parasara.

Parasara also mentioned taking the stronger of the two lords when

finding dasa years in Chara dasa, for example. Though he did not

explicitly mention taking the stronger lord for arudha padas also, it is

only logical to do so.

Whenever you deal with Aq or Sc and need to fix one lord for some

purpose (e.g. arudha pada calculation or Chara dasa year calculation),

find the stronger of Saturn and Rahu or Mars and Ketu (respectively).

Saturn represents Lord Shiva and Rahu represents Goddess Durga. They

share a sign. Mars represents Lord Subrahmanya, Shiva's younger son, and

Ketu represents Lord Ganesa, elder son of Shiva. They share a sign.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Dear Zoran,

Rahu is the co-lord of Aquarius whereas Ketu is the co-lord of

Scorpio. The rules for determining the stronger have been listed by me in

the book "Maharishi Jaimini's Upadesa Sutra".

Best Wishes,

Sanjay Rath

Dear Sanjay and Zoran,

This also makes a lot of senese to me. However, there is a theory that Rahu is

exalted in Taurus (some say Gemini) - what is your stand on this ?

I was thought that Rahu is exalted in taurus, and gemini is his multrikon sign.I

think that Sanjay takes gemini as exaltation sign,

but let us hear from him.

Dear Lidija,

I have found that the results of Rahu exaltation to be more appropriate

for Gemini, but then this maybe my lack of proper understanding of Maharishi

Parasara who has taught on Rahu's exaltation in Taurus.

With Best Wishes,

Yours truly,

Sanjay Rath.
