Dear Das,

Do you take Varahamihira et.al for calculating the sunrise & sunset?

Is this from the limb of the Sun i.e. first ray or do you use the midpoint

of the Sun. Secondly, how do we find Gulika in the program you sent?

Thank you.

Dianna, I will give you a detailed write up on this soon. First

learn to calculate the Yama and Yamardha i.e. there are 8 Yama's in a day or

night. The Vedic Day is from Sunrise to Sunset while the night is from

Sunset to sunrise. This is the foundation of the AstadalaPadma (Spiritual

Jyotish-Eight petal lotus) and the KalaChakra.

With Regards,

Sanjay Rath

Dear Gautam,

Thanks for your comments. i ahve spoken to the publisher and the

next edition of the Upadesa sutra is going to be double the size. It will

have Sanskrit sloka, Transliteration, Translation, Commentary and notes

followed by illustration. There will be a number of appendices for the dasa

systems and their usage. The glossary will be expanded (please note the

words you find difficult. This will be very helpful for all others).

Goravani has agreed to have the eight karaka option in the next

version. Things are changing for the better..he moves rapidly towards

perfection.

The charts matter. Based on the manual calculations that I could

do,the umpteen charts have been calculated. If the data do not match the

charts, change the data, not the charts. The charts explain the real life

events. Data is always invariably, not very accurate.

Best Wishes,

Sanjay Rath
