Dear Dina-Nathji,

In the chart of the native given by you, the Saturn is in the eighth

house woth the eighth lord. Thus,a specific combination for ill-health

results. The disease of the intestines had started in the dasa of Jupiter,

but did not manifest outwardly. The Arudha Lagna is in Capricorn and both

Saturn and Jupiter are placed in the 12th from it showing losses. This is a

very good example for how ayogakaraka loses its powers. Saturn is a

yogakaraka from both lagna and Rasi and is placed in the 8th thereby being

capable of delivering yoga suo-moto. However, its conjunction with the

Putrakaraka jupiter is not good as the significations of Jupiter will get

damaged if saturn is to give good results, but that normally does not happen

for Vaishnava's due to the mahamantra. Thus, Jupiter is strengthened and

Saturn becomes very evil thereby damaging the health (8th house).

Jupiter is the Rudra of the chart and is in a fiery sign. The Shoola

Dasa begins from the seventh house and is for 9 years for each dasa in the

regular order. The present dasa of Pisces is conjoined the Atmakarak and is

aspected by the Jupiter till the 45th Year, thereby providing relief in the

form of medical attention. Thus, inspite of the negatives, now that the Sun

has come out of the sign Aquarius there is likelihood of recovery, although

slow.

The vimsottari dasa-Antar-Pratyantar-Sookshmantar are of

Saturn-Saturn-Jupiter-Mercury from the 7th March till the 28st March 1999.

Thus, the disease and period of hospitalisation is to continue for a few

more days till then. I think there is some more life in this chart and by

the blessings of Sri Jagannath, he will recover soon.

The trimsamsa has Saturn as the lord of 1st in the 6th hpuse

(Disease) as Jupiter is the 12th lord (Hospitals) in 12th. Jupiter is also

in the 7th from Saturn- Disease as Mercury (immediate cause for

hospitalisation) is in the 5th house with the nodes (Stomach area

affliction- intestines were removed). Mercury is also in the 6th house from

Jupiter showing that this period is most critical.

The Mrityupada is in Virgo and the Sun will be transiting the 7th

from this in Pisces soon. Thus, it is necessary to worship the lord of the

lagna for good health immediately and to use a diamond in gold in the ring

finger. After crossing this hurdle, there will be another in the 50th year

in the Month of Chaitra in Amavasya or Astami.
