Dear Mani,

My notes are under:-

I have given up looking for logic in astrology: there seem to be hundreds

and hundreds of axioms and a few theorems based on them! My information re.

Brighu progressions comes from Martin Gansten. I think you have his mail

address: mgansten Ask him!

Rath: Thank you, I got the message.

On the other hand, can you give me the progression rates given by Manu?

This is a field that interests me very much. Because I think eventually

progressions are the best way to predict, for most other uncertainties are

irrelevant.

Rath: Maniji, till you try the Narayana dasa, you will feel like this, and

after that you will not need anything else..Narayana is the Best Dasa system

as it includes the Chara, Padakrama and Trikona Dasa...It is the most

logical and is simple and easy to work with.

Manu has two principle statements:

(A) A DAY OF THE GODS EQUALS A YEAR OF HUMAN LIFE i.e. the sidereal

zodiac should be progressed by 24 Hours to determine the results for the

next year. This approximates the Trimsamsa or 1 Degree Solar motion per year

of life, but I will prefer if you use the time instead of solar motion

approximation.

(B) A DAY OF THE MANES EQUALS A YEAR OF HUMAN LIFE i.e the Pitris or

elders can be learnt about by progressing @ 2.5 Degrees of Solar motion (one

Dwadasamsa) for every year of Human life. This explains the basis of using

the Dwadasamsa for Parents and elders.

© Research: By extension, the navamsa i.e progression @ 3Deg 20

Min can be used to time marriage and for many other things while the

Saptamsa i.e progression @ 4 Deg 17 Min (approx) can be used to time

Children etc... I have used the Navamsa along with the Trimsamsa and the

Dwadasamsa with some success. This requires a lot of research. Best of luck.

With Regards,

Sanjay Rath
