Extra-Malefic Mars

Dear Shamin,

The Vaishnava keep complete fast of all EKADASI to ward off the evil

effects of Mars. Mars is Rudra and is also pacified by Rudrabhishek and by

the recitation of the Mahamrutunjaya Mantra. I will suggest that you do

both. Light a Ghee lamp in the morning and evening and recite the

Mahamrutunjaya mantra 108 times at each sitting.

The real curative powers are in the Mind and through meditation we

can release them. Meditate on a picture of Sri Ram standing with the left

foot in front (Pratyalidha). Now close your eyes and imagine that Sri Ram is

standing in the Heart of your sister. With folded hands pray to him with the

following mantra (from Dattatreya Tantra):

OM NAMO PARAMBRAHMA PARAMATMANE "AMUKAM" SAREERAM KURU KURU SWAHA.

Replace the word "Amukam" with the name (first name ) of your sister. Put a

yellow tilak of Halti (Turmeric) on your forehead and ask her to do the same

everyday before the pooja. In case she has to do the mantra, then it is:

OM NAMO PARAMBRAHMA PARAMATMANE MAMA SAREERAM KURU KURU SWAHA.

With a prayer to Sri Jagannath that she will recover from her illness, I

Dear Shamin,

For any serious attempt to lessen the impact of bad karma one should look to

the whole chart (your DOB is necessary). Try to find a good astrologer you

trust and follow his/hers advice. Maybe some people from the list can help

you.

However, the reason I write is to gently suggest that you must not blame the

planets for any adversity you or your family experience. I know it is

difficult to see the light when things are bad, but try to do it. All grahas

wish us highest good. Propriation starts with understanding the role of

certain graha in our life and following his teaching. Only than mantras,

yantras, gems etc, can help in that direction.

I really hope I did not upset you further. I wish you will find a way to be

friend with your Mangal. Maybe He can show you the secrets of your soul and

guide you more than any human can.

Guess You could say a Mars is malific in the 8th conjunct Rahu.Mars being

the lord of the 7th & 12th will bring troubled or loss in relationships. My

astrologer reccomended I wear a Coral (ruled by Mars).
