Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Andrew, Your description of the Absolute Truth is excellent. We have this in the Sri Satya Narayana Dhyana: Dhyayet satyam gunateetam guna traya samanyetam Lokanatham Trilokesham Kaustubhavaranam Harim Pitambaram Neelavarnam Srivatsa padabhuseetam Govindam Gokulanandam Brahmadairabhi Poojitam.... I have recited this for many years now. The mantra following this Dhyana is OM TAT SAT. Hare Krishna, Sanjay Rath -----------------> You Wrote:- Dear Mu'Min, Which part would you like me to explain? If I said to my friend when I greet him 'Gosh, you get fatter everytime we meet', I'm sure to offend. Or if I said to someone 'If find your face offensive. You are so ugly'. This may be very true but also greatly hurtful. So in a mundane sense good people don't always tell the truth. Deception, misleading statements etc may have greater virtue. What about with spirituality? Why is spoken Truth evil? Because it is maya. Spiritual knowlegde is secret. Truth cannot be spoken. Truth lies beyond the gunas. But then, to complicate matters, Truth can be heard: Sruti. So as you can see, there is no absolute truth in the relative field of life. Furthermore, Krishna says all action is enveloped with evil as a fire by smoke. Even speaking truth is evil.
