Guest guest
Dear Chris, Two points: One Gemini is your tenth. i guess this is a printing error. Second, why will this not speak about your father first instead of Guru? After all, everybody has a father, while a few have a guru. Hare Krishna, Sanjay Rath -----------------> You Wrote:- Dear Everybody, What rules your 9th house, and what planets are in it or aspecting it? Could everyone share? Obviously with an Aries Lagna, having Jupiter in Sag for Das means a lot of nice things. However, with a Virgo Lagna, I have Gemini in the 9th. Venus in the 4th. Venus in Taurus in 9th. That means???about sprituality? I should find my Guru involved with comforts, food, etc.? Jupiter is in 3rd combust in Scorpio, though. The Black Arts? Anyway, please share your spiritual journeys if you don't mind. I'm not understanding the Guru aspect. Later on, when one is reading the interpretations of houses, much is spoken of the 9th in relation to father...it must be remembered that the 9th is the 12th from 10th, and is therefore a significant house in terms of father's longevity, prosperity, religious role, etc....in the same way as 12th from asc speaks of these issues in terms of our "Self". The 9th house of religion/religious teacher (guru) naturally depicts father in that role, as very often (in vedic cultures especially) father is the first Guru/teacher. In western societies it is very rarely the case that father fulfils this role. I really do think that a lot of Parasara has (sadly) been misinterpreted. The "Maharishi Jyotish Course" was just one of the many that I've attended over the last decade...and he states emphatically that the 10th denotes Father...whilst the 9th denotes Guru/Father. Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear David, Jupiter has nothing to do with that prima facie. See the trines to the Karakamsa. How many malefics does it have? Hare Krishna, Sanjay Rath -----------------> You Wrote:- Well, Chris... I have Aries lagna with Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius-9th in my Pisces-12th. I have had a difficult time with contemporary religion. I was raised in the Methodist church...almost literally! But found it to be rather 'superficial'...for me. Until I studied John Wesley's (the father of the Methodist church) Method-ism. Now, THAT was quite a different thing! I enjoy a ritualistic approach in my spiritual pursuits. I was drawn to the Catholic church as a teenager...and it had NOTHING to do with that cute, dark-haired and mystical girl that I was in love with!! I have studied/practiced a 'western tradition' called 'white magic'...in various ways...but ALL very ritualistic. My navamsa chart has Sagittarius lagna with Jupiter in Virgo-10th. I do consider my spiritual life a very important part of me and "walk with God hourly", altho I "fall from grace" 'bout as often! Hmmmmmm! I wonder if I can blame THAT on the Virgo placement of Jupiter!! ...Hope this helps...David -- ---------- David LaGrone P. O. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay Again this has gone to you and not to list...I refuse to argue with you publicly anymore. For someone who refuses to acknowledge the importance of Rasi, I suppose it shouldn't be all that surprising that your understanding of the bhava significations is what it is. However for the sake of those who may be wrongly influenced by your posts, it may be wise if you brush up on the basics, i.e: 1) Self, body, appearance, innate nature, etc... 2) Family, finance, education, speech, etc... 3) Younger siblings, courage, parents death, initiatory instruction, etc... 4) Mother, home, vehicles, educational degree, etc... 5) Children, intelligence, religious techniques, etc... 6) Enemies, obstacles, disease, work, step-mother, litigation, etc... 7) Spouse, partners, travel, etc... 8) Separation, death, change, battles, forts, etc... 9) Guru, father, grandchildren, religion, higher education, etc... !0) Father, government, status, career, reputation, living abroad, etc... 11) Elder siblings, gains, fulfilment of desires, etc... 12) Loss, expenditure, indebtedness, travel abroad, Sin, step-father, etc. PLEASE NOTE 3RD FROM 4TH (MOTHER'S SISTER) IS STEP-MOTHER WHILE 3RD FROM 10TH (FATHER'S BROTHER) IS STEP-FATHER. This is basic Sanjay!!
