Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATH Dear Wendy & Narasimha, My grandfather Late Pundit Jagannath Rath, my Guru & uncle Late Pt. Kasinath Rath, Ramachandran Harichandanji, Gurudeva Dukhishyama Patnaikji, Sri K N Rao, and almost all the names you can recall in past and recent Jyotish history use D-Charts. My grandfather authored a book on D-Charts in Oriya in the 1930's. He used Vimsottari Dasa till the 6th level. I am unfortunate like Abhimanyu and when the crucial time came, I had only learnt till the Pratyantar dasa usage (see my book Crux of Vedic Astrology- Timing of Events where I have explained how to use the Vimsottari Dasa till the Pratyantar Dasa) and left for Paraa Vidya. He would recalculate planetary positions using Vedic mathematics and would confirm charts by following it up with actual events of date and time! His predictions were always with date and time and he always felt that the younger generation was becoming lazy. I wonder if I can live upto his standards of Perfection..shows a true devotee of Sri Jagannath Krishna like our Goravani Prabhu who is working towards the perfect software. Besides, Saravali (Kalyana Verma) says that we cannot take a step into predictive Jyotish without the divisional charts (Bhavannai deepam Samastam..). As regards 'How to use D-Charts' translating that Book into english,I intend to give out this knowledge by the turn of the century. Narasimha has learnt well, but I am not yet convinced about the KCD and prefer the Vimsottari Dasa. The Astrological Magazine had published an article of mine on the use of the DASAMSA in 1996. This will give you the most vital clues. Hare Krishna, Sanjay Rath P.S. This post is really meant for the budding Jyotish in this list so that they do not develop any wrong notions about D-Charts. -----------------> You Wrote:- It is a well known fact Narasimha that a good majority of the senior, more experienced Pundits rarely use the divisional charts at all (save Navamsha) unless they're required to answer specific questions. ------ eGroup home: http://www.eGroups.com/list/sjvc Free Web-based e-mail groups by eGroups.com
