Guest guest
Hi, Robin and all Thanks for the extensive analysis of the dream. I didn't realize my dream could be that complicated! As you have experienced, it appears that lucid dreams are a form of personal or cosmic entertainment! However, some people call this experience as hypnogogia. They attribute it to some kind of possession by a spirit. But personally, I found it pleasant and bewildering. In astrological terms, I believe this is due to my Moon/Rahu conjunction and aspected by Venus in the rashi chart. You stated: 1.> You begin by saying that you thought you were going home to your parent's house...in my opinion, you were actually already there...you seem to be talking to God about a problem that you are having...and because you used the word "vintage" [old or out-of-date] it would seem to indicate that you have been struggling with this problem from quite some time, within your self. Maybe it is choosing to make itself "more" known to you now or the need for an answer is becoming important to you.> After thinking about what you said, I realized that you have pointed out something that has been bothering me since my parents died. It is unfortunately clear that I have inherited a problem which had been ongoing even when my parents were alive. They have had a dispute about the ownership of the land and house in my home town. My relatives were arguing that the property is on ancestral land and that my parents did not own it, even though my parents have the legal documents to prove it. 2.> Cancun is a city divided in two parts & it is also on the Yucatan peninsula. This would seem to confirm that you are having trouble making some type of a decision. At this point, YOU are Cancun..a city divided. Cancun also takes the shape of the number 7. There are 7 chakras in the body. ( 7x 2 = 14=the date of your dream). This may be your body's way of saying to you, "Look, it's the right time to make a decison.> Interesting point. It could mean that I may be trying to escape the problem by going to a vacation spot or fantasy land. 3.> The reference of a church, seems to imply that the problem is of a spiritual nature. This meaning could also be echoed by the word "stone" in cobble stone.. Stones are natural & do appear in nature. It may be referring to something of a spiritual nature, which is...for you, a stumbling-block. The word cobblestone means [a naturally rounded stone once used for paving streets]...this reminds me of the saying..."All roads lead to Rome...which is "coincidentally" in Italy. All of the possible decisions will ultimately have the same effect, but it's the choice of possible roads that seems to be the most important... Do you take the rougher, uphill road...or the smoother downhill road?? It is your decision. > Very detailed analysis. It appears that my mind is trying to escape to another land and time, wishing to find a more tranquil hometown. 4.> Cobblestone also contains within it the word "cob" [# 1 a male swan, > # 2- a small lump or mass, as of coal]. "Coal" [a glowing or charred piece of solid fuel, as coal or wood ]. This may be your mind saying..."Would you please make a decision". (Again, YOU are the coal & your body is a glowing piece of solid fuel). Cobblestone also contains the word: "cobble" [ to mend or make] - seemingly, yet another reference to the need to make a decision.> You are right in interpreting that the dream shows indecision and confusion. For my part, I have been trying to be diplomatic with my relatives about the problem in order not to break up the family. It appears that the best solution is NOT to do anything. Since I am here in the USA, the convenient solution is to have the relatives make the next move, which has not been forthcoming either. 5.> Now for the word "stone" in cobblestone [ # 1 a gem * God is reminding of your beauty & worth in his eyes], [ # 2 a milestone or boundary stone ]-possibly indicating a major decision that will definitely affect the course of your life or the need to overcome some boundary that has been previously set or needs to be set, [ # 3 a unit of weight in Britain, 6.36 kilograms or 14 (day of the dream) pounds of avoirdupois-the need to weigh is again emphasised ]. {# 4 - Rock-possibly implying "rock solid" ] , [ # 5-concreted earthy or mineral matter] - the need for concrete evidence or a possible astrological reference to one of the Earth signs. Have you ever heard the saying, "Mind over matter"..if you don't mind, then it doesn't matter...if you do mind...then it "does" matter. Something definitely "matters" to you & your mind is attempting to remind you that it does matter )> I would like to think that my mind can overcome this situation. 6.> Italy- " I tally"... [# 1 to keep a count or score], [ # 2 To cause to correspond or agree]> The needs exists to bring both parts of yourself into agreement. Italy is an interesting tourist destination. It appears that my mind wants to go back there again. In vedic terms, I may have been in another world or loka. In some vedic stories, the ancient rishis were able to visit other planets and worlds through the mind alone. There is an argument that our dream represents another universe that we create in our consciousness. In scientific terms, our dreams could be equivalent to a worm hole or a black hole!(you can probably tell I am a closet Trekkie...lol) 7.> Now, here is my interpretation of your dream as a whole: You are asking for some type of guidance from God...he is the one you went to visit. You are struggling with some definite problem that you feel that you have inside of yourself..it might be threatening to tear you into two...or you feel torn between two different parts of a whole or between two different courses of action & have been unable to decide either what, or how you truly feel about the matter. If you have been asking yourself or God either for permission or if you "can' do something specific CANCUN / *C*A*N*C*U*N take out the letters that appear more than once *C*A*N* U > :-) ...then the answer that is supplied... finds itself on the YUCATAN penisula...which tells YOU - Y* (O-Oh! More confusion!) * U * C* A *N*... > Your mind..or higher self is telling you that you definitely have the ability to make a good decison that obviously needs to made...now, in either the best interests of yourself or any others involved ) > Can u...Yes, you CAN. > > Just some of my thoughts on your dream. Maybe they will apply to you & maybe they won't...but at least, I tried to help you discover its meaning ) I truly believe that everything happens for a reason & that nothing is ever truly coincidental. Thanks for the encouragement. You are right in saying there is a significance to this dream. In biblical times, dreams were recognized as a premonition of things to come. It took a prophet or prophetess to interpret the dreams fairly and accurately. It seems like we are part of a film that's being played that can go forward or backward. Sanjay Rath stated, in his jyotish seminar in San Francisco, that the solution is to set our consciousness above the film or box. Then one can see the entire set of pictures arrayed in time and perhaps find the true meaning in cosmic terms. Regards, John R. > Robin.... > > > http://www.cancuncare.com/aboutcancun/aboutcancun.htm > Cancun - How was it born? In the 1970's Mexico's tourism planners decided that a deserted sand spit on the Yucatan peninsula close to the small fishing village of Puerto Juarez was the ideal location for a major tourist mecca and they set about building a brand new world class resort. > > > > John <jr_esq> wrote: > To all members: > > Has anyone had a lucid dream experience?
