Hi Mike

I have thought about correspondences between Chinese and Vedic

I had noticed that but I don't think it is wise to mix systems any more than

you can mix quantum with Newtonian mechanics.

Systems have their similarities but they also may have their differences.

In Chinese US is monkey and monkey and snake are not compatible.

Snake years roughly correspond with Jupiter in Taurus

There are rough correspondences between the 12 zodiacal signs and 12 animals

Aries corresponds with dragon

Taurus corresponds with snake

then Gemini with horse

Cancer with Goat

Leo with Monkey

Virgo with rooster

Libra with dog

Scorpio with Boar

Saggitarius with Rat

Capricorn with OX

Aquarius with Tiger

and Pisces with rabbit

Each system give us one view of reality with it's strengths shortcomings and

limitations.Reality is ultimately something that can only be partly

described and how each view ties in with an alternate view is a complex

subject where facts often take subordination to philosophy.

Not even Lord Brahma can understand his creation fully
