Some doubt my “it’s all predetermined” stance, and ask why one

should suffer one’s karma’s if one has no choices.

I say, that they are not “your” karmas. That’s a convenient

way of speaking in the now, in the current reference and framework, but in the

absolute, they are not “your” karmas, but automatic duties and

results of your unique pre-assigned path.

How can you choose with a brain you did not design?

How can you choose when the choices are limited?

How can you choose when you are forced to be in a certain body in a certain city

and world and material realm?

How can you choose when you are born limited in all respects?

Since you are a trapped slave, how can you choose?

If everything is thus predetermined, how can you commit any actions at all?

Since everything is destroyed and re-formed, is anything we take as

“real” here “real” at all?

This is a big dream meant to teach us, and the so called actions and reastions

are actually just lesson sets, making us into something, which we are not aware

of yet, a something, we will find out about, in the future.

I usually just lurk but I chose to respond to this.

Everything in the world is ordered and as such you have a life path and a

destiny and certain things that you must experience.

Man has been made in the likeness of God and as such he has been providied with

the freedom of choice, not choice as in the control over the events in one's

life but the ability to choose how you will deal with and respond to those

events. Provided you are healthy no one and no thing can force you to think,

act or even feel a certain way. Animals can't go against nature (Gods Law),

but man can choose to do so if she/he wishes, just look at the state of the

world. God did not create evil - it just gave men the ability to choose weather

or not they would follow truth.

Astrology indicates that you will undergo similiar experiences over and over

again and again until you learn - and if you dont master what you are suppossed

to learn you keep coming back until you do so. So those who are not receptive to

Wisdom shall repeat the same events over and over again until they get the

correct response - while those that do are able to escape the weel of

incarnation. When we realize our divinity we instinctively know the correct

response for all things and can appropriately adapt to any and all situations.

The movie Ground Hog day is an excellent example of this where Bill Murray

repeats the same events every day until he learns the correct way to think

about and respond to lives events.

You know my teacher sums it up like this, perhaps others might find this insightful as well

Your life is like an Ocean liner ship that must go to a certain destination and

dock at certain ports (destiny), but you get to choose (your free will) if you

will be the captain of the ship or a stowaway. The Yogas provide you with the

tools to be the Captain of the ship.
