Hurricane Katrina * A Possible Planetary Explanation

Hello everyone,

I have been considering Hurricane Katrina & its explanation for the destruction

of New Orleans, Louisana. It seems to me that I use a different chart for the

United States & my ayanamashas are probably also different. I do not possess

an ephemeris for the 1700s so I have not determined the planetary postions that

were in affect for that time. I have determined, using my only available

resources, none of which are computerized, that the US ascendant is 06 Virgo

04' 21" with MC at 05 Gemini 35' 22". This may be completely wrong..but by my

calculations appear to be correct to me.

 

At approximately 1:27:39 AM New Orleans, LA time on May 30th, 2005 the degree of

05 Gemini 35' 22" was on the ascendant. This degree was located in the

nakshatra of Mrgasiras(almost the final degree) ruled by Mars. I believed that

someone had asked how this might fit with Gemini earlier. My chart of the

moment of 1:27:39AM, has Mercury ruling the Gemini chart & the 4th of Virgo.

Mercury is also in a mutual reception with the Moon with is ruling the maraka

2nd of Cancer & is currently occupying the house of Cancer...thus activating

the maraka 7th Sagittarius. Not only does the Moon rule the maraka second but

it is also now holding the 8th Capricorn & 9th Aquarius ruler Saturn. This

would also mean now that 9th ruler is hemmed in between the Moon & Mercury. My

chart ruler Mercury is now disposting the distressed & fallen Venus (21 Virgo

16' 15") which rules the 5th Trikona of

Libra and the 12th house lord of Taurus. To make her situation even worse is

that is she also sharing the very same degree with a powerful Ketu at 21 Virgo

18' 36" (2 minute 21 sec. difference) & the maraka 7th Sagittarius ruler

Jupiter at 23 Virgo 56' 22. Using Vedic principles the Sun is in Rulership in

the 3rd of Leo (12 Leo 44' 31")...aspecting the 9th Trikona ruled by Saturn (

which again, is currently in a maraka house & hemmed in). I now have a

powerful Mars also in Rulership in Aries at 22 Aries 12' 36" & Mars is

currently ruling the 6th Scorpio & the 11th Aries. As an Eastern-Western

astrologer also, I will mention that Pluto is also in Rulership in the 6th

Scorpio & actively Retrograde. Uranus is also in Rulership in the 9th Aquarius

and Retrograde...thus receiving the powerful Sun's energy from the the 3rd.

Neptune is now in the 8th house of Capricorn also Retrograde...again it's ruler

in the maraka 2nd of

Cancer. Neptune is located at 21 Capricorn 23' 08" & is a nearly perfect squre

with Mars(slightly over one degree) while at the exact same moment the Moon at

23 Gemini 29' 10" is perfectly squaring the Maraka 7th ruler Jupiter...which

also conjunts the fallen Venus/Ketu combination. So this means that Mars in

nearly inconjunct all three the fallen VE, KE, & JU. What else is going on

with Mars...Mars is now aspecting..in Vedic terms, the maraka 2nd Cancer, the

5th Trikona Libra, & the 6th Scorpio...where it's in energy in increased. This

would also mean that now the energy of Mars is caught up in the mutual reception

between the chart ruler ME & the maraka 2nd ruler MO & keep in mind, that

Mercury is also dispositing the maraka 7th ruler JU. Saturn (8th, 9th ruler)

is now aspecting the 4th which contains JU, fallen VE, & the exalted Ketu while

simultaneously aspecting the chart ruler & 4th ruler ME(m/reception Moon),

Saturn is also aspecting the 8th CP with Neptune(10th Pisces Ruler), & finally

Mars & Aries in the 11th. What feeds into this pattern is the last eclipse

that was on April 24th, 2005 & it was a Full Moon eclipse at 23 Libra 46' 46".

This is roughly about 1 1/2 degrees from Mars position. The sun on that day was

located at 23 Aries 46' 46"...It was also Exalted on that day... & on the day of

the hurricane..it was in Rulership. The Full Moon on April 24th, 2005 was

located at 23 Libra 46' 46"... & was being disposited by what later became a

fallen Venus in the 4th/Jupiter/Ketu. By Western methods...this is a perfect

trine to the Moon (m/r ME) that later became the Maraka 2nd ruler & to square

Neptune in the 8th. Jupiter is sharing in the 4th with the Fallen Venus, &

exalted Ketu, while aspecting the 8th containing Neptune, the 10th containing

Rahu, the 12th Taurus house. All of this happening on

the Ascendant at New Orleans (05 Gemini)..which is, in my US chart...the IC for

the US.

 

I haven't checked for midpoints, calculated the Navamasha or any of other Varga

charts...or located the nakshatras for any of the planets or MC. The following

part of the reason for my using the above date in my calculations.
