Dear Adi and List,

 

In order to manage my mental/nerve issues, I am not answering the phone

these days. I am responding to emails generally. I am doing better

personally than in the past, but I did at some point recently realize I

really could not handle having the phone constantly interrupt my nerves each

day. To me it shatters my mental state to switch to talking to some other

human far away, then another, then another, each different, constantly.

It's just not a peaceful thing. I've developed a phobia about the phone. I

did computer tech support since 1987. 18 years is a good donation to

helping others in some field eh?

 

I am not always timely with emails, I admit, but I do answer the easy one's

fast. My phone message will tell you to email me and that's what you should

do. Calling me over and over will do nothing but aggravate you. It will

not make me answer. Please email me if you have problems. Overall, GJ is a

very stable and easy to use program. The biggest problem has been not my

program, but the installer, on Windows, which can never seem to install the

fonts correctly. Oh well.

 

And JS3...it does a lot, if you learn how to use it. It's a very powerful

tool, but the learning curve is there, and in general we seem to want to

avoid learning software. I think people loathe learning software that is

not immediately obvious. Try learning Dreamweaver, Photoshop, GoLive,

Autocad, etc etc... No truly powerful software is "easy to learn". I still

hope to finish and release JS3 soon.

 

Re. Adi's stated problem with the transit window, I can only imagine that in

2.5 you have switched your ayanamsa, or perhaps you have the program set on

the opposite date format from what you are thinking...like you think in

European but it's set on American, or vice versa.

 

Check the settings on the Prefs and Other Various Prefs windows under the

Prefs menu. Make sure that things are set correctly for you.

 

The 2.5 transit window is identical to the 2.26 transit window. Nothing

changed there. Thousands are using it, and nobody complains about this, so

I do think it is something local on your machine, Adi.

 

I apologize to Adi and everyone for my inabilities compared to my past. I

used to be so powerful, and this problem of mine has knocked me down to

below normal in my abilities to work on software and deal with people. I

live a much slower, quieter, more private life these days, and that is

better for me.

 

I am still trying and hoping to get strong enough to resume my old work

habits and productivity level, but year after year since 1999 that goal

hides from me.

 

Thankfully, on Windows at least, my 2.5 still works very well and serves

people so nicely that many prefer it over others that seem to boast more

features.

 

With my daughters help, I am still filling orders in a timely way, and thus

the business goes on, just minus the phone. Email is always up on my

screen, and often I handle messages as they arrive.

 

I appreciate email contact with pictures, helps to break the lonliness of

being rather isolated.

 

My grandaughter is doing great, and I love her so much. Same for my two

kids.

thanks for you quick reply, yes you are right the ayanamsa was changed to

B.V.Raman, now it is coming O.K. when I changed back to lahiri. what's happening

with your mind is it because your mercury is almost combust in natal chart and

it is transiting your 8th house from natal moon or what.

 

Das I know your GJ2.5 is very very good, its easy and very quick, that's why I

don't want to switch to JS3, anyway please solve my problems with JS3 which I

have sent you by mail (post) explaining exactly what is happening with the

printouts also.

 

Please do the needful when mercury moves to Libra.
