Remembering the last one, and fearing the next, are you only pains, otherwise, you feel great. So, now that I feel so, Thanks Steve!. You're welcome Das.........it would be nice if we could always stay in the "middle"--but that doesn't seem to be how it works. But expecting proper emotions from those in the middle of an emotional psychosis storm, attack, whatever...is misled. We, at those times, are simply illogical and needy. By the way, for the indulgent reader, I have to say, that Steve’s “face it like a warriror, man”, mood, was quite attractive to me. I didn’t do that particular approach, but I enjoy the warm hug of the demon without even sitting on a chair, usually for a couple days at a time, sometimes longer. It’s very intimite and interesting, being subjected to every possible painful thought and feeling. I’m working on kicking his ass 24/7, and have been for years, and I’m getting better, stronger, and he knows it, so he’s trying harder too. Something I've been working on in the seemingly never ending battle, and a common problem with all of this, is the tendency to indulge in the negative. I remember some wise words from Don Juan, Carlos Castenada's teacher: "You don't have time for this you fool"! We all go from fool to wise man and back again it seems---someday or some lifetime, I hope it will all be worked out. Do not confuse lucidity and intelligence with sanity. Sanity is peaceful and feels good. Whereas the insane can be both lucid and intelligent, while feeling completely miserable about life due to their own inner gripes with reality, which form the basis of their particular insanity. So, the insane can write, and talk, but that doesn’t mean they feel good or are happy. Of course, you are not really intelligent until you are sane. Very true and wise words... I think the insane can also feel quite good and function very well in the world (those who are built like tanks that is)--this goes from your average person all the way to the White House--or does it start in the White House and funnel down to the average person? How many times I've wished I hadn't opened Pandora's Box--at first I couldn't get the lid back on and now... I've actually lost both the box and the lid.
