Namaste Juliana and all members,

It's nice to hear from you again. We're glad that you're gaining

benefits from meditation. In addition to the benefits you mentioned,

meditation is good for maintaining one's health as well.

Recently, I've tried to convince a friend of mine to consider

meditation to mitigate the effects of stress at work. I told him that

this was the main cause of his recent illnesses. A few weeks ago, he

had to undergo a gall bladder operation. And about a year before that,

he had to undergo an operation to fix an aneurism in the stomach area.

Although I did not specifically tell him, I've noticed since I've known

him that he gets angry very easily. When we were in college together

many years ago, he got so mad that he wanted to fight me in front of

our band members. At that time, we were practicing to learn new songs

for our rock band. Needless to say, his temperament has taken a toll

on him at this time of his life.

I believe his choices now are limited. It's either he quit his job or

take up meditation. If not, I'm afraid his health will deteriorate.

Regards,

John R.
