Guest guest
Hello gypsyis4u ,In reference to your comment:• Again, if you are still reading this...I do apologize & ask for your• forgiveness. Thank you again for listening.• ~Robin~ Peace & Greetings Robin; you've done nothing to be "forgiven" for... All our views are based on perception/experience, and under the circumstances, your frustation/s are understandable...Being retired military and law enforcement, I've also dealt firsthand with both the "faults" of our system and people, as well as their higher attributes...What rattled my cage, were the assumptions that all who remained in New Orleans were idiots, and deserved what happened (dont remember You being one alluding to that). In a prior post, I stated that many not only had No way out; many had nowhere To go... Such is Not an assumption, as I've been volunteering with relief efforts at the Astrodome and had opportunity to see and speak with many displaced survivors... As tragic as the state of global affairs are today, Janna realistically and correctly pointed out that we (earths tennants) are caught up in something far bigger. The Wheel turns, and will not stop until the cycle is complete. This is inevitable and the result of thousands of years of evolution; or lack thereof... Guest guest
Hi Robin, I'm glad to hear that your son was found 'not guilty' of what he was actually innocent. I know that being out the $10,000 bond has got to hurt (that's a crime in itself). But look at it this way, your son was one of the lucky ones. When I was in law school in 1989, the statistics were that 95% of all criminal cases that went to trial resulted in a 'guilty' verdict. Actual guilt or actual innocence is irrelevant, sadly. It's all about what's provable. And to win against the word of a law inforcement officer is lucky indeed. I'm sorry for your experience, and hope it doesn't jade your son at such a young age. We hear too many cases of people being let out of jail after 20 years due to DNA proof that they were innocent - and STILL people think they are somehow guilty or they would not have been convicted! No wonder that you feel angry and frustrated. But, for being lucky enough to prove his innocence, Congratulations! ____ Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. http://store./redcross-donate3/
