Plenty of meat eaters get cancer too, as well as many other diseases.  The uranium content at the beach there would be more of a cause of cancer than the diet at the ashram.

Namah Shivaya

Avram, it's good to have you back on the list.

I spoke with a friend who just returned from Amritapuri. He said that

Swami P

(Nealu) has lymphoma. I think he said that Ron is at AIMS - he didn't

say with what.

Nealu has been sick (not with cancer) since before he met Mother,  long,

long ago. Remember, She said She could take away his illness, but then

he couldn't be realized in this lifetime and he would have to come back

and it would be worse.

Sri Ramakrishna died of cancer also.

I'm sure there are others on the list more knowledgeable than this

child, but there is something about fats causing adequate cholesterol,

which help make hormones, which help guard against cancer. There is a

relationship between low cholesterol and cancer. Now the medical

establishment has drastically lowered the norms, so what was normal is

now high normal. Biochemistry is beyond this mind.

Jai Ma!

Namah Shivaya,

As I remember, Brahmacharini   Nirmalamrita  had cancer before she met

Mother. I seem to remember this was a recurrence. Of course, I don't

know this for sure.

And is the uranium content that bad, and if one wasn't at the beach per

se, would it affect them? Is this just naturally occurring uranium?

this is merely a guess on my part; but all these cancers may be due

to too many grains which make the body too acidic; and dr. warburg

won a noble laurate prize in 1932 for showing that cancers trive in

an acidic environment.

green veggies help to make the body more alkaline( less acidic ); we

put romaine lettuce leaves in our fruit smoothies.

amma bless,

amarnath

ps ~ indian mahatmas do not seem to focus too much on the health of

the body perhaps because they want us to break our attachments to

the body; we are not the body; on the other hand, it seems a healthy

body is useful for doing seva, etc.
