Guest guest
Dear Amarnath, What kinds of dressings do you use? I also agree that we have to listen to what our bodies tell us as we progress spiritually. It seems that I am continually changing my eating habits as I go. I am primarily vegetarian, and was eating some fish and eggs, but right now...I am not eating them and doing more tofu. I do eat dairy, especially yogurt. I like what I hear with your sharing. The one thing that I have read while reading several books on Yoga, by awakened Yogi's, is that we are trying to conserve as much energy as we can to the process of union with the Divine, and that we do not want to bog our bodies down with excess in the digestion process. As you bring more of the Divine within you, you will be like Amma and will not require as much food. If there are certain health issues, then one has to heed to that for sure. I have heard too, as far as eating animals that we are taking on their karama and possible emotional suffering into our bodies...which would definitely put stress into our already stressful lives. I have read Amma's words saying that once one has reached a certain stage of Realization they can go back to a non-vegetarian diet if they wish. Ultimately, you have to listen to your Selves as to what is best for you. I'm retired and Samarpana does not go to work; so this should be taken into concideration we do not use any dressing now; we started transitioning about five years ago with low fat; then made our own with no-fat; and now, we find all the veggies so delicious by themselves that a dressing would only disguise the fresh/live taste of each; our salads consist of a lot of greens plus a variety of other veggies and even some fruit.
