Hi,

I can only answer the first part.

"Ganja" that is the flowering of fruiting tops of the

cannabis plant is NOT legal ANYWHERE in India. It is

an offence to cultivate, produce, manufacture,

possess, sell, purchase, transport, import

inter-State, export inter-State or use cannabis under

the The Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

Act,1985, punishable with imprisonment ranging from

six months (small quantity) to twenty years

(commercial quantity).

About the second query I dont have an answer.

Why then do we hear of "Bang" being used by everyone...on Holi...and other

days...why do my friends tell me you can buy it in stores along with opium?

In India I mean.

Could someone in India please clarify.

But my main concern in the second part.

Surely somebody must have an experience with part 2.

das, the happiness is a constant.

it's your nature. you're the light.

that's what all 'originators' of

religions were showing their 'followers.'

you like to research. check all the

original sources of scriptures for

references to light. it's what we are.

and we can see it and it is a happy

experience. however...

'stuff' accumulates and -- darn! --

the light gets so dim, all we can

see is the 'stuff.' drugs help us

temporarily forget the stuff. they

block the fearful, critical thinking

mechanism. too bad they are

temporary.

the entire game we are playing, from

what i can tell on planet earth is to

do it ourselves. to actually take the

negative thoughts, feelings and

attitudes that block the WONDERFUL

feelings that are natural to us, so we

can get back to our original nature.

'sin' or 'hell' or 'demons' or 'satan'???

they're all just those naughty little,

pesky little words between our ears

that distract us from happiness,

aka 'god.' :)

i wish you REAL happiness,

independent of any person, place or

thing, situation or event. :)

it's inside you. it's inside us all.

and it's BEGGING to be seen, heard,

felt, enjoyed... sat. chit. anand.

love, patricia

THanks Patricia,

But I haven't indicated it's "me".

That aside, speaking of research, the fact is, Ganja, what we are talking

about here, is a particular thing, and I am asking about that particular

part of the "dark dust that covers the soul".

I would REALLY LOVE an answer to the original question.

Does anyone ever fully recover from LONG TERM HEAVY marijuana usage.

THe reason for the question is that the herb does substantial damage inside

the brain to the cannobinal receptors in the areas of the brain like

"Reward" and "Motivation". Without these functioning PROPERLY, the person

will never be motivated again, nor feeling happy (rewarded) ever again.

The AA group in America basically sadly admits that long term pot addicts

almost NEVER quit. The buzz amongst the rehabilitation world is that pot

addicts do not recover because of this damage to receptors.

So my specific question is:

Does anyone know a human, who, after having heavily smoked strong pot for

many years, was able to quit, and, after quitting, after awhile of healing,

was able to be motivated and free from constant depression and pain.

That question is MY question.

Out of 1600 participants here, surely someone must know somebody, I hope.

And as for India, people have Pot hookas going on their front porches.

Legal or Illegal, is not pot HEAVILY Used in India especially by men?
