I hope I will be able to flow smoothly in the astrologically rich waters in the group, without disturbing the 'much necessary' ideological and philosophial discussions. My 'personal' belief is that an astrologer should never have any staunch orthodox beliefs, whether religious, communal, ethnic or nationalistic. Openness of thought, acceptance of each individual as and what he/she is, and looking for astrological reasons behind everything, whether an argument or agreement, should be the virtues of an astrologer. Of course, we are humans and tend to be governed by our emotions, ambitions, desires, insecurities and strengths. Each one of us is emotionally vulnerable but full of wisdom too. On some occassions the vulnerability comes forth, while on others, the wisdom. Man is a mixture of vices and virtues and expecting a perfect behaviour from anyone is itself an imperfect expectation. Let us work to spread correct and applicable knowledge. The means may be different but the goal is always the same. To find the ultimate truth. Perhaps now Reeshart can get on with those several wish lists on his back burner. I`m looking forward to mine. I for one, have enjoyed some of his posts like "wierd science" & "walk with me to the river" & so what if he went on about some of his phylosophies ? It helped me double check on some of mine. I take the liberty to make a few comments on reincarnation Reeshart, if one takes away the " I " & judgements upon this " I " Christian or otherwise, then all what is left is forms & energy & the eternal interchange between the two, is all. Mary, here are my examples ie: water turns to vapour-to clouds-to rain-to wet mud-to plant food-to vegetables or grass-to food-to animals-to humans-to earth-to worms-to bird food-to cat food-to earth again-to worms again-to fish-to bigger fish- to humans again-to earth again-to ash perhaps for the ones who got cremated-to seaweed fertilizer for those that sprinkled this ash in the river or ocean- to fish food again or coral or pearl or seabed deposits- to ocean plates- to crude oil-to gas stations- to car exhaust-to acid rain-to forests-to rocks- to diamonds........ its just cycles of cause & effect therefore taking it personal doesnt really make sense to me.
