Guest guest
Dear All, I have been unable to pinpoint the exact cause of my malaise, but often can find the lunar cycles or nodes are implicated, and one of the Divine Mothers I have met and twice received her darshan, Amma Karunamai, has just released a post about kalasarpa dosha impacting everyone for the coming year, but in particular with the moon signs and nakshatras listed below. Although I am bharani moon and therefore not on the list, I have always felt the magnification of the lunar energies, particularly now with Rahu aspecting Cancer and Saturn aspecting Ketu by transit. Would the kalasarpa dosha be more intensified for me with Cancer lagna/Cancer Sun with NT Saturn in Cancer because of Saturn's transit in Cancer at this time? I thought the information might be of interest to others as well. On another list there was a post from a second Amma, about a catastrophe occurring around December 26 (when the Mars-Saturn aspect is exact within 1* of Rahu-Ketu). The bottom line seems to be, expect 2006 to be like 2005 but even more catastrophic. Is it possible for humanity to endure another year like this one? Janna _________________ Om aim klim somaya namah http://seven_directions.tripod.com For more information about Amma's post, please visit the following link on the Latest News page: www.karunamayi.org/Navaratri/KalaSarpaDosha.shtml Currently, a certain kind of inauspicious planetary configuration is in effect. This is known as a "Kalasarpa dosha," and it affects individuals who have certain rasis (Vedic moon sign) or nakshatras (Vedic birth star). A news item has been posted containing information about the timing of the Kalasarpa dosha, individual actions that can be taken to mitigate its effects, and pujas that can be sponsored to reduce the negativity of the Kalasarpa dosha. In addition, due to the current inauspicious energy, all people-- regardless of their rasi or nakshatra--are advised to postpone any new projects or undertakings until after January 16, 2006. Kalasarpa Dosha Guidance Due to the current transit of Rahu and Ketu there is an inauspicious planetary disturbance occurring, which is referred to as Kalasarpa dosha. From now until the end of 2006, the Kalasarpa dosha will adversely impact certain rasis, signs of the zodiac, and nakshatras, or vedic constellations. Rahu and Ketu are the vedic names for the ascending and descending nodes of the Moon respectively. The Sanskrit word kala has several meanings, one of which is "time." Sarpa can be translated loosely as "serpent." Kalasarpa dosha is a phenomenon in which the serpentine energy associated with Rahu and Ketu entwines itself around the other planets, thereby constricting and disrupting the planetary rays. A) Kalasarpa dosha can bring challenges to one's finances, health and property. In addition, Kalasarpa dosha causes delays and obstructions in our daily life, making it difficult to accomplish anything. No matter how hard one may try, it seems almost impossible to complete one's work. Additionally, it is advisable to postpone any new projects or undertakings from December 1, 2005 up to January 16, 2006, due to the inauspicious configuration of the planets at this time. This is generally true for everyone regardless of whether they are impacted by the Kalasarpa dosha. The rasis and nakshatras that are affected by the current Kalasarpa dosha are: Rasis Simha rasi (Leo) Kanya rasi (Virgo) Kumbha rasi (Aquarius) Meena rasi (Pisces) Nakshatras Magha Purva Phalguni (also referred to as "Pooba") Uttara Phalguni (also referred to as "Uttara") Hasta The first two padas (first half) of Chitra The last two padas (last half) of Dhanishtha Satabhishak Purva Bhadra Uttara Bhadra Revati B) If anyone's rasi kundali (vedic horoscope) has the Moon situated in any of the above rasis or nakshatras, then it is recommended to perform the remedial measures described below in order to alleviate the effects of the Kalasarpa dosha. Remedial measures for Kalasarpa dosha: The holy rishis in their boundless compassion for all of humanity have prescribed several kinds of upaayas, or remedial measures, that can reduce any planetary disturbance, including Kalasarpa dosha. These remedial measures include meditation, chanting, pujas and acts of charity. Certain pujas have the power to protect us from negative planetary influences as if we have an unseen armor around us. The performance of the following pujas will avert the negative influence of Kalasarpa dosha. Remedial measures that can be performed individually: Ganesha Worship Crystal, marakata (Green stone), gold or silver Ganesha can be worshipped by offering a small cup of pohe (flattened rice) along with a little jaggery on top. This can be performed every day. The pohe and jaggery can be offered morning or evening according to one's convenience and can be consumed as prasada by all family members. (These are available at stores which sell Indian groceries.) Offering Coal Three medium sized pieces of coal (enough to fill the palms of the hands when both hands are cupped together) may be offered into a river (not a lake, nor pond, nor the ocean). This offering of coal should occur on the 14th of January 2006, anytime between 6:00 a.m. and 12 Noon. Remedial measures that can be sponsored in a Devi temple: Sri Chakra Maha Meru abhishekam and puja These can be performed to reduce the effects of the Kalasarpa dosha. These pujas should be performed in a Devi temple and it is recommended that they be performed every Friday for at least 6 months. However, it is best to perform these pujas for an entire year. Sri Chakra Maha Meru abhishekam and puja at the Penusila Ashram A special Sri Chakra Maha Meru abhishekam and puja will be performed regularly at the Penusila Ashram in the Sri Manidweepa Mahasamstanam, which is a Devi temple that has been sanctified by our beloved Amma and dedicated to Sri Lalita Parameshwari. The ritual bathing and worship of the Sri Chakra Maha Meru that will be performed at the Penusila Ashram may be sponsored for 6 months or ideally for 1 year (see seva form, below). The abhishekam and puja will occur every Friday during the Rahu kala or time period of Rahu. Every day, during the daylight hours, there is a ninety-minute period of time referred to as the Rahu kala. Its occurrence varies depending upon the day of the week. On Fridays, the Rahu kala takes place between 10:30 a.m. and noon. The Rahu kala is considered generally inauspicious for beginning any new undertaking. However, the Rahu kala is considered to be a very auspicious time to worship the Divine Mother and thereby lessen the effects of Kalasarpa dosha. Special prasadam including a silver amulet, which may be worn around the neck as protection, and kumkum will be forwarded one month after the start of the sponsored puja and abhishekam. Additional prasadam will be sent after the conclusion of the sponsored puja and abhishekam. Click here to download the Kalasarpa dosha seva form. If you are not sure if your rasi or birth star is affected by the Kalasarpa dosha you can consult with a qualified vedic astrologer to determine if your natal rasi or birth star meet the criteria specified above for the current Kalasarpa dosha. You may perform the above pujas even if you are not affected by Kalasarpa dosha or are unsure if you are impacted by it. One will receive great merit from the performance of these pujas and great protection and blessings will accrue.
