Guest guest
Dear Steve, Chris, and others, I'm reclarifying an earlier post since I think the shuttle is scheduled to land at Houston, TX (not Cape Canaveral, Fla.,) although I'm unsure of this, but the time is before dawn on Monday, August 8. I am curious about predictions from anyone on a safe re-entry. It seems the chart for launching did show many delays and obstacles that occurred as many predicted, but are the chart predictions for launch altered in any way for a safe re-entry on Monday at dawn with a Leo Moon around 27-28* and earlier exactly opposing 8th house Uranus around 15*? Guest guest
Dear Janna and members, The Discovery is scheduled to land at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral on August 8th at 4:46 AM EDT. There are three additional landing times possible if weather conditions for the 4:46 time are not favorable. The next available time would be 6:12 AM at Cape Canaveral and the last two would be at 7:42 AM and 9:17 AM at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The 4:46 AM landing time has lagnesh Mercury retrograde, combust and in a papa-kartari yoga with Saturn and Sun while receiving the full aspect of 6th lord Mars. If we can trust this as a relevant chart to show landing conditions, then I would conclude that there is going to be trouble. Looking back at the shuttle Columbia that broke apart on re-entry over Palestine, Texas on February 1, 2003--it's ETA (estimated time of arrival) for Cape Canaveral was 9:36 AM EST. That chart is fairly supportive for good landing--Pisces lagna and lagna lord Jupiter exalted in the 5th (although Rx at the time). Columbia never made it of course and was last heard from at about 9:00 AM EST. It actually started breaking up at or just after re-entry which was very close to 8:50 AM EST. The 8:50 chart, when calculated for Cape Canaveral, gives Aquarius rising with Saturn in the 4th, very close to the cusp, along with Rahu, while Pluto sits exactly on the MC along with Mars and Ketu in Scorpio. The re-entry time of Discovery on August 8th, does not allow for a different lagna (as happened to Columbia), so Gemini will be the lagna from the moment of re-entry to landing time. Guest guest
Dear Steve: Thank you for this comprehensive answer and for correcting the place the shuttle is scheduled to land. I've lost track of the complete details of earlier posts and comments you and Chris primarily have made on the shuttle launch. However, is there any aspect that links the re-entry landing of the shuttle with the Jupiter-Ketu conjunction now within 3* of exactitude and exact August 11-12 that would further intensify planetary combinations found in the shuttle landing chart? I have made another query on another list about clarifying the impact in general of this conjunction but continue to feel that metaphorically the seas are rough for sailing or landing at this time (this would include the recent Russian submarine entrapment) collectively. I'm looking for the planetary clues that provide possible explanations for the recent escalation of terror and death-related incidents, such as the London bombing, and the potential for other disasters, and although I realize this differs from location to location, I am looking for a thread that may connect these events collectively, and would be interested in the Ju-Ke role in any of these recent waves of extremist activities. In the meantime, I hope that the shuttle may beat the odds of these precarious transits. Thank you for any insights you may share. Dear Janna, The 4:46 AM landing time places the Jupiter/Ketu/Rahu within 7* of the MC/IC axis. I can't say from personal experience what this is likely to do regarding the shuttle landing. The Nodes close to angles on any type of a map generally do not augur well for favorable results in my experience. > > I have made > another query on another list about clarifying the impact in general of this conjunction > but continue to feel that metaphorically the seas are rough for sailing or landing at > this time (this would include the recent Russian submarine entrapment) collectively. > I'm looking for the planetary clues that provide possible explanations for the recent > escalation of terror and death-related incidents, such as the London bombing, and the > potential for other disasters, and although I realize this differs from location to > location, I am looking for a thread that may connect these events collectively, and > would be interested in the Ju-Ke role in any of these recent waves of extremist > activities. Good charts to look at for 'collective' threads are lunations (New Moon, Full Moon etc) and Solar and Lunar Eclipse charts. For instance, the last Full Moon of July 21st occurred on the same day as the second London bombing. If you calculate the exact Full Moon time for London, you will get 16 Virgo rising with Jupiter at 17 Virgo and Ketu at 23 Virgo (Lahiri, True Node). Similarly, the first London attack that occurred on July 7th, was a day after the New Moon. The New Moon of July 6th in this instance for London had again 16 Virgo rising and Jupiter at 16 Virgo. The current New Moon of August 4th shows Jupiter rising through Jakarta, passing through Hanoi and continuing up close to Beijing. You can see this very easily by calculating a particular lunation chart for any location and throwing it into the Astro-Cartography map. > In the meantime, I hope that the shuttle may beat the odds of these > precarious transits. I'm hoping the same---that the planetary energy works itself out in some type of technical difficulty that doesn't prove to be life threatening. Guest guest
Hi Janna, Interesting observation you've made here, "Ju Ke...extremist activities." I believe I've seen in the Hindu that Ketu = Moslem. I could also show that the 7/7 London bombing was Moslem in the testimony of its Ve Ju and Mo Ke aspects...and that the very Ra Ke of Mohammed's Hegira Medina 7 /15/0622 rise and set right on the London Bombing horizon. But VA is not a western list. I judge that a 4:46 am landing on Monday would be protective of the venture. While I agree generally, I think you have to consider the influences on the nodes to get a handle on what they will promise. Ketu is a natural malefic of course, so we become biased towards negative scenarios when it conjoins a planet like Jupiter. But there are many occasions where the positive side of Ketu will be expressed. This will depend on other key placements in the chart and on the "polarity" of Ketu at any given time. Some of this has to do with sign and star dispositors, although any number of influences could be isolated. With Ketu in Virgo, Mercury's placement becomes more important in understanding Ketu's role. The fact that it is retrograde is perhaps one factor that may partially explain the earlier difficulties on the mission. We could also include the fact that Mars was in the star of Ketu in the 8th house at the time of the launch -- hardly auspicious for a prosperous and safe journey. Venus was also in Ketu, however so balancing the influences here is important. Nonetheless the negative energy returns through the contraparallel of Mars and Uranus at launch within two minutes or orb. > > > > > > > I have made > > another query on another list about clarifying the impact in general of this conjunction > > but continue to feel that metaphorically the seas are rough for sailing or landing at > > this time (this would include the recent Russian submarine entrapment) collectively. > > I'm looking for the planetary clues that provide possible explanations for the recent > > escalation of terror and death-related incidents, such as the London bombing, and the > > potential for other disasters, and although I realize this differs from location to > > location, I am looking for a thread that may connect these events collectively, and > > would be interested in the Ju-Ke role in any of these recent waves of extremist > > activities. > If Ketu does express its negative side, then wouldn't we look at Jupter's significations as possible evidence? I don't see violence per se as representing any side of Jupiter, although obviously philosophical extremism does fit nicely. One of those "knee bone connected to the ankle bone" type propositions perhaps. > Good charts to look at for 'collective' threads are lunations (New Moon, Full Moon etc) and > Solar and Lunar Eclipse charts. > For instance, the last Full Moon of July 21st occurred on the same day as the second London > bombing. But astrology is still in its infancy so that will have to remain a pipe dream for now. I don't see any disaster looming here so I'll have to fall in line: I also hope (!) that nothing untoward will occur but I'm not 100% sure, hence the use of the non-rational "hope". Still a couple of afflictions make me wonder if something related to transport may be in the news in the coming days: transit Mercury is backing over the USA's 8th house Rahu (using the Kelleher chart at least). It may only be more revelations about the shuttle program's future rather than an accident however. Transit Sun opposes the launch Neptune on the 8th, an indication that supports the notion of undiagnosed problems, or things not quite going as planned. We'll see. I normally don't go looking for Jupiter for terrorist activities, but it's an interesting idea to think of Jupiter and Ketu as extremism. Jupiter can also have it's share in death and disease in a natal chart Nodal lines on the other hand can often indicate a place where death or accidents occur on a lunation map. Take for instance the Rahu/Ketu lines on the MC/IC through Sicily for the current August 4th New Moon. > > It would be nice if our knowledge of astrology was extensive enough to > eliminate the need for words like "hope" in this sort of situation. "I feel so much better since I've lost all hope" was a bumper sticker that was around in the '80's--I kind of agree with that statement. There are malefic transits hitting the NASA charts of inception for July and October of 1958. In addition, the commander and pilot of Discovery are still not quite 'out of the woods' yet against the transits of Mars and Saturn. As one blind man said to the other: "We shall see what we shall see". Steve >
