Guest guest
Dear Members, >From today onward i am planning to put a basic question on astrology to the group every Sunday and hope to get a response. This will probably help the student like me to know the basics in a practical method. Today's Question: How could we determine from a Chart, the sex of the native i.e, whether the native is a Male or Female? Hope to get response. Guest guest
Dear Chandra, This is in regard to your question "How could we determine from a chart, the sex of the native i.e, whether the native is a Male or Female?" As far as I know, astrological chart interpretation is not gender biased, and it is not possible to determine whether a native is male or female using basic techniques and principles of chart analysis. All of us have dual tendencies inherent in our nature that are shown in the astrological charts. For example, I know many women with a majority of planets in the Sun's hora and a majority of their planets in masculine signs, and vice versa for the birth charts of many men I have worked with. Nonetheless, it is very likely that I could be wrong about this, and I trust someone will let me know. You might be interested to know that Western, Chinese and Vedic astrology propose certain techniques for both determining gender and conceiving a child of a certain gender. Anyway, one of the techniques to conceive a child of a certain gender is a form of astrological birth control using Ayurvedic and yogic principles. There is also a lunar formula to determine the gender of the child based on the mother's birth data. I have not tested this much but I know others who say it works. You can find the formula at: http://www.starteller.com/estart25.html Best regards, Juliana Swanson
Guest guest
|| Gurave Namah || Dear Friends, The Ardha Nadiamsa (Nadi Divisionals) mostly holds the secret of the sex of beings. Naadi is 150th of division(D150) and Ardha naadi takes has Uttara(Fore) and Purva(Hind) part of each division. Hence we get 300th of division. Parasara's Sixteen charts compositely divide zodiac in 150 unequal parts. Equal 150 division can also be made. (Refer CS Patels books, R. Santhaanams translation of chandra kalaa Naadi, Pt Sanjay Raths Articles etc). Equal division divides a Bhaava of 120Mins into 300 parts of 24 Seconds each. 24 Seconds is called Vighatika. Similar in calculation like Hora Lagna (1 Hour equal duration), Bhava Lagna(2 Hour equal notation). Vighatika Lagna is used for sex determination, In Jaimini Updesa Sutram determination of Sex based on Vighatika time of birth is indicated. Refer to Pt. Sanjay Rath's translation on Commentry on JUS for this.
