lesser economic and educated background. His decision will spell disaster for

Please urgently help me by answering the following questions:-

 

1. When will my brother get married?

2. Will it be a controversial marriage which will cause a rift in his family?

3. What kind of girl will he marry?

4. Will his marriage be happy?

5. Will he have children?

 

One reputed astrologer whom I consulted locally said he has 'Punarfoo yoga' in

his horoscope which is the cause of many negative factors in his life. I was

not able to find mention of this yoga in BPHS. What exactly is Punarfoo yoga?

And does my brother's chart have it? The following was also predicted from his

chart by the same astrologer :-

 

1. He will lack mental peace in married life no matter whom he marries

 

2. He may have more than one marriage

 

3. There will be some problem regarding progeny. (what can this mean? will he have children? )

 

4. He will have a mental downslide due to conjugal problems which could even

result in schizophrenia.

 

As you can well imagine, I'am very alarmed by these predictions. I have not told

my parents yet. One thing at a time. I would be very grateful if any one of the

great astrologers present here could re-investigate the above predictions.

 

As of today, my brother is unmarried and depressed but carrying on. He has gone

abroad and is doing well in his job. His parents are most loving and willing to

do anything to help him, but really, this proposal of his is a very bad idea to

digest for them.

 

My brother's particulars are:-

 

Name:- Natraj Sharma

Date of Birth:- 19th July 1971

Time of Birth:- 1:50 AM

Place of birth: Bombay; INDIA

Dear Shobha,

 

Isn't it strange that a man of 34 years of age is still not

free to make his own choice about whom to marry. He is definelty very capable

of judging what is right and what is wrong.

 

Anyway, he will get married very soon, most probably by january 06 and

with the same girl. Yes, there will be oppositions to his marriage, but he will

go on with it undeterred.

 

There is already a rift in the family and his marriage is not going to

help increase or decrease it. He has severe differences of opinion with both

the parents.

 

Contrary to what you all fear, his married life will be a very peaceful

and happy one. He will have children also, one boy and one girl.

 

Do not be afraid of any punarfoo yoga ( I heard it for the first time

from you). He has good rajyogas in his horoscope. Not everyone has a chance to

go abroad and earn decently.

 

The caste and religion are outer garments which can not hide the true

inner self. If the girl is good and is eager to spend her life with your

brother, then no sane person should have any objection. He is not a kid

anymore. Would you prefer a Brahmin girl as his wife, who is highly educated

but has differences of opinion and lack of affection for him?

Thankyou sir, for putting my fears at rest about 'Punarfoo' yoga. Thankyou for

assuring me that his married life will be happy and peaceful and that he will

have children too. I am truly grateful to you for the same. Thanks for the

timely analysis.

 

Thank you for your kind reply but I did not miss your very obvious reprimand. I

was expecting it from someone or the other, since this group has a lot of

western audience who in general do not take kindly to any form of percieved

interference. But I also know that when you present a problem to a doctor or an

astrologer, you must be completely honest so that they get the correct picture.

I had only wanted to present to you that he is contemplating an out of religion

marriage and there is a cultural difference. Sometimes, and particularly when

the matter is urgent, you just say things the way they are and don't search for

nice sounding words.

 

And so, at the risk of sounding controlling and an utterly silly person who

has the ridiculous notion that a person of 34 cannot make up make up his own

mind and is somehow being denied the freedom to make his own decisions, I had

voiced my concerns.

 

I hesitate to react to the patronizing tone of your mail ... but if I may,

please let me assure you and all others who might be interested that we are

not thwarting someone's right to choose. (we are not even in a position to! and

neither do we know how to do it!) We are not being prejudiced and neither are we

playing out class and religious differences. You may have got that impression,

but it is not true. I'am not very comfortable with the fact that you have made

my post to be about some medieval India related caste issue rather than an

isolated problem of an unknown individual.

 

Caste and religion are outer garments for sure and believe it or not, I know it

and so do my aged parents. And you are right. No sane person would prefer an

unaffectionate but highly educated person over a good and decent human being.

Believe me, even that is known to us!

Dear Ashotosh and Shobha,

 

Yoga Punarphoo is much used in South India and especially in KP system.

Conjunction of Saturn and Moon or any relation between these two planets said

to cause the yoga. As a negative effect, this combination can delay the

marriage and/or create situations where in some times marriage seems imminent

but following few incidents makes it not possible. Victim feels frustrated as

far as marriage matters are concerned. How ever this not negates the marriage

all together.

 

One could have benefited more had Mr.Ashutosh supported his predictions with

astrological reasoning. Since marriage has been already delayed, native might

be under sway of punraphoo.

 

I am curious to know accuracy of the birth time given.

free to make his own choice about whom to marry. He is definelty very capable

of judging what is right and what is wrong.

 

Anyway, he will get married very soon, most probably by january 06 and

with the same girl. Yes, there will be oppositions to his marriage, but he will

go on with it undeterred.

 

There is already a rift in the family and his marriage is not going to

help increase or decrease it. He has severe differences of opinion with both

the parents.

 

Contrary to what you all fear, his married life will be a very peaceful

and happy one. He will have children also, one boy and one girl.

 

Do not be afraid of any punarfoo yoga ( I heard it for the first time

from you). He has good rajyogas in his horoscope. Not everyone has a chance to

go abroad and earn decently.

 

The caste and religion are outer garments which can not hide the true

inner self. If the girl is good and is eager to spend her life with your

brother, then no sane person should have any objection. He is not a kid

anymore. Would you prefer a Brahmin girl as his wife, who is highly educated

chart by the same astrologer :-

 

1. He will lack mental peace in married life no matter whom he marries

 

2. He may have more than one marriage

 

3. There will be some problem regarding progeny. (what can this mean? will he have children? )

 

4. He will have a mental downslide due to conjugal problems which could even

result in schizophrenia.

 

As you can well imagine, I'am very alarmed by these predictions. I have not told

my parents yet. One thing at a time. I would be very grateful if any one of the

great astrologers present here could re-investigate the above predictions.

 

As of today, my brother is unmarried and depressed but carrying on. He has gone

abroad and is doing well in his job. His parents are most loving and willing to

do anything to help him, but really, this proposal of his is a very bad idea to

digest for them.

Dear Mohan,

 

There are thousands of yogas in each horoscope. Moon saturn

combination cannot be directly related to delay in marriage. Only when they are

affecting seventh house or seventh lord can they be thought of having any effect

on marriage.

 

Going by such yogas is a childish approach to astrology. Look at the

seventh house and seventh lord in the chart. Do you find any harmful aspects

there?

Dear Shobha,

 

If you read your previous mail once again word by word, you

will understand that you have emphasised on the 'different religion' and 'this

proposal being indigestable to your parents'. You are afraid of a possible rift

in the family. This definetely shows that there is vast difference of opinion

between your parents and your brother.

 

Accept it or not, a vast majority of Indians are prejudiced about caste

and religion. In my everyday astrological practice, I see such cases of love

affairs, where the sole objection from the parents is either related to caste

or religion. Even love-affairs and 'love-marriages' are not taken in a healthy

way in our society even if the boy and girl are from same caste and religion.

The right to choose one's own life partner simply does not exist in Indian

psyche.

 

Your family is not thwarting your brother's right to choose a girl, but

no one is accepting it with open mind either. Isn't it called prejudice. I have

not made your post look like a medieval India caste issue. The fact is that

today caste-issue has taken a worse form than what it was in medieval India.

Your fears about the possible opinions of a western audience are also

unfounded. The west is more prejudiced than us Indians, although there the

prejudices are not so much related to marriage.

 

When you are writing to this group, always be ready for all kinds of

responses. There are thousands of members here. If you are afraid of public

sermonizing, you should have seeked off-list guidance from the members.

 

I know that yours is a highly educated and broad-minded family. But, you

cannot deny the fact that a different religion of the girl is the prime cause of

rift here and this cause can not be wished away.

 

My words may sound harsh, but they are based on true experiences. You

can support your brother in his decision, but the same cannot be expected from

your parents.

Thankyou sir, for putting my fears at rest about 'Punarfoo' yoga. Thankyou for

assuring me that his married life will be happy and peaceful and that he will

have children too. I am truly grateful to you for the same. Thanks for the

timely analysis.

 

Thank you for your kind reply but I did not miss your very obvious reprimand. I

was expecting it from someone or the other, since this group has a lot of

western audience who in general do not take kindly to any form of percieved

interference. But I also know that when you present a problem to a doctor or an

astrologer, you must be completely honest so that they get the correct picture.

I had only wanted to present to you that he is contemplating an out of religion

marriage and there is a cultural difference. Sometimes, and particularly when

the matter is urgent, you just say things the way they are and don't search for

nice sounding words.

 

And so, at the risk of sounding controlling and an utterly silly person who

has the ridiculous notion that a person of 34 cannot make up make up his own

mind and is somehow being denied the freedom to make his own decisions, I had

voiced my concerns.

 

I hesitate to react to the patronizing tone of your mail ... but if I may,

please let me assure you and all others who might be interested that we are

not thwarting someone's right to choose. (we are not even in a position to! and

neither do we know how to do it!) We are not being prejudiced and neither are we

playing out class and religious differences. You may have got that impression,

but it is not true. I'am not very comfortable with the fact that you have made

my post to be about some medieval India related caste issue rather than an

isolated problem of an unknown individual.

Dear Mr. Ashutosha,

 

If you are in a complex, then i might not have much to say. How ever since it

is raised in an open astro discussion forum, I would like to put few points,

which must have been well known to any ardent (even fresh) student of Hindu

astrology and not to talk about expertise.

 

In humble knowledge of mine, reckoning only 7th house and its lord in isolation

for assessing married life, marriage period or institution of marriage would not

be prudent. Intricacies involved and inter dependability of all 12 houses + 9

planets in a chart are just more than simple arithmetic. Had it been other way

round, every another human being on street should have been Astrologer of

strength.

 

In the said chart under discussion, the conjunction of Saturn and moon is in 2nd

house, which also have major impact on family matters among other influences on

person. Saturn (+ Moon combination) is casting its planetary aspect on the house

where UL (and DK) is positioned. Such afflicted (influenced) Moon and Saturn are

positioned in 7th and 4th house (Marriage and Home - principle area of life).

The lord of 7th is hemmed between punarphoo yoga at one side and malefic

planets (Sun+Ket+Mer) on the other.

 

I am quite interested to know what astrological reasons you would attribute for

already delayed marriage period for the native and his few of unsuccessful

previous serious involvements/affairs! Apart from his desire to marry a girl

from different religion, which is still a social taboo for general inhabitants

of India!

 

Let me state categorically that I am a child in the field of Vaidic astrology

and no wonder could remain in that state for life long! I also promise you, to

the maximum extent possible, to the best of my abilities I would refrain from

childish approach though not sure about child like......

 

I am open for detailed discussion on the chart, provided, we could avoid derogatory comments.

There are thousands of yogas in each horoscope. Moon saturn

combination cannot be directly related to delay in marriage. Only when they are

affecting seventh house or seventh lord can they be thought of having any effect

on marriage.

 

Going by such yogas is a childish approach to astrology. Look at the

seventh house and seventh lord in the chart. Do you find any harmful aspects

there?

Yoga Punarphoo is much used in South India and especially in KP system.

Conjunction of Saturn and Moon or any relation between these two planets said

to cause the yoga. As a negative effect, this combination can delay the

marriage and/or create situations where in some times marriage seems imminent

but following few incidents makes it not possible. Victim feels frustrated as

far as marriage matters are concerned. How ever this not negates the marriage

all together.

 

One could have benefited more had Mr.Ashutosh supported his predictions with

astrological reasoning. Since marriage has been already delayed, native might

be under sway of punraphoo.

 

I am curious to know accuracy of the birth time given.

Isn't it strange that a man of 34 years of age is still not

free to make his own choice about whom to marry. He is definelty very capable

of judging what is right and what is wrong.

 

Anyway, he will get married very soon, most probably by january 06 and

with the same girl. Yes, there will be oppositions to his marriage, but he will

go on with it undeterred.

 

There is already a rift in the family and his marriage is not going to

help increase or decrease it. He has severe differences of opinion with both

the parents.

 

Contrary to what you all fear, his married life will be a very peaceful

and happy one. He will have children also, one boy and one girl.

 

Do not be afraid of any punarfoo yoga ( I heard it for the first time

from you). He has good rajyogas in his horoscope. Not everyone has a chance to

go abroad and earn decently.

 

The caste and religion are outer garments which can not hide the true

inner self. If the girl is good and is eager to spend her life with your

brother, then no sane person should have any objection. He is not a kid

anymore. Would you prefer a Brahmin girl as his wife, who is highly educated

With your permission I am anxious to say the following observations in my practice of KP system -

1.where Moon-saturn conjuntion is there - native's biological urge for marriage

develops in a delayed way - hence the dealy is likely t cause the marriage -

not knowing the native's urge (we can say sexual urge) - as per the age of the

candidate (male/female) and family practice usually the parents try for

marriage - but delays are experienced -

2, Saturn do not deny marriage , in this case, it is likly that in the process

of finalisation of marriage - an alliance which is droped earlier may get

revived aand finalised .This is also indicated in KP reader No.4. - I have also

seen this practically in two female charts.

3. If Saturn is otherwise connected to negative houses - there may be denial of

marriage on account of saturn.

4. Saturn being planet for obstructions - if other wise bad in the chart there

may be slight disturbanses in the funtion of marriage.
