July 2005 Monthly Vedic Horoscope

 

 

 

ARIES (Apr 13 - May 13) This month could be the beginning of a very significant

time for you Aries. After the 18th, your ruling planet Mars moves into Aries and

will stay there for a year due to a long period of retrograde motion. What this

means is you will be more out front that usual. This is a great time to announce

to the world new plans and projects, so expect to get noticed. The 18th itself

may well feel like a party. In the proceeding couple weeks, expect to be pulled

in many different directions. The first half of the month may feel more hectic

and "out of control" than usual, but that will all pass.

 

TAURUS (May 14 - Jun 14) With your ruling planet in the 3rd house for most of

July, you may find yourself doing a lot of travelling. It's also a good time for

writing and sharing ideas with people. Look for some significant communication

to come your way around the 11th that enhances home life in some way. After

Venus enters Magha and Leo on the 18th, expect to confront some resistance,

especially from authority figures. The 24th promises to put your beliefs to the

test. You may find yourself with fewer options that you thought. Take prudent

action and carefully weigh the consequences, and things will work out in your

favour.

 

GEMINI (Jun 15 - Jul 15) You have the real potential to get your heart's desire

this month as your ruling planet Mercury is closely conjoined with Venus for

several weeks. This is more likely to be money related, so expect funds to be

freed up for pleasurable use. Watch for excessive assertiveness however in the

early part of the month. This may take the form of conflict with partners and

trouble in the workplace. As Venus takes it leave of Mercury in the second half

of July, life may become more changeable. And with Mercury going retrograde on

the 23rd, expect to be thrown for a loop (or two). But it's nothing the

ever-adaptable Gemini can't handle.

 

CANCER (Jul 16 - Aug 15) As Mercury and Venus separate from Saturn, July should

show substantial improvement from June's difficulties. You will first have to

pass through a planetary gauntlet which may introduce some volatility between

the 13th and the 17th. This time may not be at all difficult, just different

from the usual routine. For some Cancerians, this break from the predictable can

be unwelcome, but the results may be for the best. Relationships are a likely

focus of these changeable days. Expect some obstacles that force you to do some

fancy footwork around the 23rd. You may also take extra care and planning in

travel and communications after the 23rd when Mercury goes retrograde in Cancer.

Slow and steady wins the race.

 

LEO (Aug 16 - Sep 15) Some gains are possible in the first half of the month

while the Sun transits Punarvasu. These may be related to high ideals and

humanitarian organizations and they may accrue early on, around the 2nd. Some

unforseen glitches are possible around the 9th and these may lead you into

conflictual situations. Ask yourself if you are really going to benefit from a

hardline approach to the problem. As Sun enters Pushya on the 20th, your front

stage leonine ego may have to accept some downtime from the spotlight. Expect

some seclusion now, and an event around the 23rd may make you see what's really

important in a new way.

 

VIRGO (Sep 16 - Oct 16) Early July will be an especially sweet time for you as

Mercury conjoins Venus. Your wishes come true now more often than usual, and

look for females to figure prominently on the 9th. As we move towards the middle

of the month, expect the intensity of life to be racheted up. It may be

important not to lose the plot here because you may be pulled into various

unrealistic directions now. This time may also bring some troubles involving

your partner. When Mercury goes retrograde on the 23rd is receives an aspect

from Rahu so look for unusual people or foreigners to figure more prominently in

your life now. Older siblings and friends may require more attention as well.

 

LIBRA (Oct 17 - Nov 15) Whilst your ruling planet Venus is in Ashlesha from the

7th to the 17th, you may find that foreigners play a greater role in your life

than usual. Your public profile should continue to be high, as people notice

your refined communicative abilities. Look for a special boost around the 13th

from expected quarters. As Venus moves into Leo and Magha, profits will be

uppermost in your mind. These should fructify as you desire, but some snafus are

possible around the 23rd. You may also expect some gains from authority,

especially around the 31st.

 

SCORPIO (Nov 16 - Dec 14) There is a opening for you Scorpios to reach escape

velocity from the humdrum world between the 6th and 9th. Look for very unusual

experiences and strange thoughts involving religion and far away places to

preoccupy your time then. Career matters will come to fore around the 13th, and

you can avoid unpleasantness by keeping your promises and avoiding grandiose

thinking. After the 18th, Mars moves into Aries and Ashwini so it may be back to

more conventional approaches to life's questions. The end of the month may

involve getting the cold shoulder from someone on high. Deep breaths are

remarkably effective for diffusing tension.

 

SAGITTARIUS (Dec 15 - Jan 13) Love and passion continue to be on the menu this

month, at least until the middle of the month when Mercury separates from Venus.

Make hay while the sun shines! After the 16th or so, however, make sure you're

not Wiley Coyote suspended in midair, 10 feet away from the nearest cliff edge,

holding a sign saying, "what am I doing?". There is a risk that the good times

have to be paid for here, including outrageous bar bills, emotional

misunderstandings, and the like. Mercury going retrograde after the 23rd will

only deepen the potential for confusion and distortion. The moral of the story

is try to keep both feet on the ground in the good times, so you don't suffer a

cartoon-like fall afterwards.

 

CAPRICORN (Jan 14 - Feb 12) It's time this old Goat got some lovin'. Improved

social contacts and the possibility of romance fill the air now as Mercury and

Venus move deeper into your 7th house of relationships. This favourable social

period should peak around the second week of July. Expect some setbacks around

the 22nd as Sun will combust your ruling planet Saturn. These are likely to

involve partners. As Mercury goes retrograde in your 7th house, some

communication problems can be expected with your significant other. After the

25th, your luck may improve, especially involving foreigners.

 

AQUARIUS (Feb 13 - March 13) You may be a great service to your friends and

family this month, as Mercury and Venus in your 6th house gives you talents for

defending the interests of others. Social contacts in general good well in the

first half of July. Expect some obstacles and delays as Mercury slows down

before its retrograde station. Afterwards, there may be an especially fortuitous

time to seek monetary gains from unearned sources such as investments,

lotteries, and the like.

 

PISCES (March 14 - Apr 12) Mercury and Venus in your 5th house of romance and

recreation may bring some welcome relief from the daily grind. Children may also

occupy a bigger part of your life now. The 9th appears particularly promising of

the amore front. With the slowing down of Mercury, be careful not to get bogged

down at work. There is a chance that you will suffer from getting bad advice

from someone who is otherwise well-meaning. Nonetheless, the continued presence

of your ruling planet Jupiter in your 7th house means good results in business,

health and relationships. And since Jupiter is now in forward motion, these
