Guest guest
The person I know who has Saturn in the 10th in Aquarius, which means it is 9th and 10th lords, Taurus Lagna, Yogakaraka... Well, that person knows Jyotish, and is a good number of years into their Sani Dasha, and that person was counting on it being good, and in their mind it has not been good at all, and they are thinking of killing themselves, constantly. They are suffering big time, (in their mind), during their Sani Dasha, wherein it is yoga karaka and very well placed. However, this person has other challenges in their chart, serious ones, like Rahu in 1 and 1st lord in 8th, and from an outside perspective, their life is not at all bad, but they think it is. They THINK it is VERY BAD, but most of us would think the person has it easy, has it nice. So, it's ALSO about how you PERCEIVE things. How we feel is A LOT about how we SEE things. Saturn taught me to ACCEPT. If you accept what is, then life is bearable. If you do not, then life is unbearable. Acceptance can be increased by pondering things as they truly are. Things like time, death, aging, disease, how mortal all things are, what our life really is, and so on, and NOT about desires, lusts, etc., should be contemplated. This is all in the Gita....it is the point of the Gita. My Sani dasha was fine, but I was in pain a lot because I held onto a lust, a desire, namely, to find the right wife. Now I do not care about that anymore, so I feel much better, and this corresponds to leaving Sani's classroom (dasha) for me. So Sani will, or may, burn our desires out of us. It is that we hold onto a desire that we suffer. If we were OK with what IS then we would not suffer. In this way, Sani is our best friend. Real friends help in real ways, not with cotton candy, like Shukra.
Guest guest
Hi Juliana and Das, As I said in my earlier mail, Das seems to have accepted all the hardships bestowed by Shani; perhaps he has experience of age, and of course his spritual evolution. However, I was a mediocre and a lesser mortal; that is why perhaps Lord Shani was harsh on me. I really don't know. Or may be as Das pointed out, the hardships, I "perceived", were in fact just my perception. whatever may be the case, my physical self was just fed-up because of so much of denial in life. Well, i suppose i must just stop wallowing in self-pity and I should be thankful to Lord Shani for being an actual friend. As regards your point, yes I was very young when Shani Mahadasha started. However, I have seen many young guys who have fourished in their career and had all the good stuff because of their Shani being Yogkarka. Thanks a ton Das anyways for your posting.
