To all members:

Earlier this week (Wednesday), someone asked me for a jyotish

clarification regarding his current predicament. He was asking what

the potential outcome would be if he continued his legal suit against a

university to retain his status as a post-graduate student in order to

complete his doctoral dissertation. He also wanted to know if this

matter can be settled out of court.

Last Thursday afternoon, although I was not thinking about this prashna

question at the time, I took a stroll around the neighborhood after

having a delicious lunch. During my walk, I passed by a neatly

packaged box, with some wrapped plates and a big dictionary, that was

left on the sidewalk. The dictionary looked brand new, and was

entitled "Random House Webster's College Dictionary". The cover was

red in color with a yellow trim on the top right hand edge.

Since no one was apparently moving in the neighborhood, I assumed that

the box was for a give away, took the dictionary home and kept it.

Last night (Friday), I responded to the prashna question (using the

natal chart and the Chapa Chakra, from Uttara Kalamrita) without

thinking about the dictionary incident. I did not create a prashna

chart as I thought the natal chart was sufficient to answer the

question. Today, however, I just realized that the dictionary incident

may have been an omen or nimitta for the prashna. If so, what should I

have included in my response to the prashna question?

Regards,

John R.
