Guest guest
Dearest Ashutosh, Why is it that hindus consider jupiter in aquarius more holy than in his own signs? Thank you for your informative considerations, david
Guest guest
Dear David, Tarun has already answered your query. I will add somewhat to this information. Aquarius is called kumbh in sanskrit meaning a water container or a pot. It refers to the mythological kumbh of amrita(nectar) which came out of the ocean when gods and demons churned the ocean in the process called samudra-manthan. The kumbh eventually came in control of gods and it was kept well gaurded in heaven. Once, Garuda, the mount of Vishnu, stole the nectar-container and he was chased by gods all around the globe. During this flight some drops of nectar spilled out and wherever they fell, they created places of utmost sanctity. These are the places where kumbh-melas are organised in India. But, the mahakumbh or the grand kumbh is organised only when jupiter is in aquarius. Jupiter is exalted in cancer, a movable sign and it owns pisces and sagittarius, both dual signs. Jupiter signifies all traditions and religious practices. Religion needs preservation and patronisation to flourish. Therefore, a fixed sign, aquarius is considered beneficial for religious practices than a movable or a dual sign. Other fixed signs are ruled by mars, venus and sun. They don't have the sustaining abilities of saturn. Venus is full of desires. Sun is too dominating. Mars is angry. Saturn also represents the masses. Thus, a fixed sign ruled by saturn i.e aquarius is the holiest sign for Jupiter. When we say 'Holiest', the religious aspect comes to fore. Guest guest
I have Moon in Aquarius, Jupiter in Sag, Aries rising. Jupiter will transit my Moon around when I'm 48. I'm now almost 45. Chakrapani once looked at my chart briefly and circled Jupiter in the 9th and said this will make you famous, but I'm sorry to say you have to wait til you are 48. Then Narasimgha Rao once said the same thing. I wonder if that's because I WONT be in Saturn Dasha then (leaving it now). Wonder if they're right. But whatever. Interesting stuff reading about Jupiter in various signs as posted lately, the why's and wherefor's of it all. Thanks, write on...
