Guest guest
To believe in an unseen God or Not, that is the Question. Both are welcome on this list, that's for sure. Greece, Rome, and their Gods of long ago, many used to believe in them fervently, now none do. Today, some are killing for "Allah", even suicide missions, against another "ism", the Jews, or the Christians, or the Infidels, whatever. Long ago Christians killed the Moslems, and many have gone on "converting missions" which annihilated other cultures. These days, the Hindu Gods are enjoying a real run of belief even outside India, such as in Yoga Groups in the West, like Hare Krishna etc. But in the end, basically, nobody sees these Gods, I mean REALLY sees them, and they don't intervene, the devotees die along with the non devout, in Earthquakes and Floods and Tsunamis etc... There's no proof, so it's a matter of faith, of conclusion, and cultures give names, so names alone are no indication of one's faith or conclusion. There are other explanations for manifestation besides just Theism. Religion alone is not the only way to explain the creation, at least not Theistic religion I mean- there are other types of religion. I'm not going to take a personal stand here right now. I do want to say however that those who believe have a tendency towards righteousness, and should be careful about that. Those who don't believe should be sensitive to the feelings of those who do, and not offend them and their beliefs. Basically I mean, "live and let live", at least. At least do not harm each other in any discussions on this sensitive issue. Das Goravani, Pres.
