Bad Readings Causing Harm are Happening

I am at the center of things in a way- many people call me and we chat. I'm

always hearing about most things going on in the Jyotish world.

 

So anyway, I just want to say for the record what I've heard on the subject

of Harm being caused sometimes by Readings people receive.

 

YES. This is happening.

 

People are getting readings, and getting freaked out, and worried.

 

Some handle it well, or say they do, but others do not handle it well.

 

The guts some people have to pronounce readings is amazing.

 

The other day I talked to a woman who had a reading where the astrologer

said that the boy would not survive his tour in Iraq. The astrologer said

he would be poisoned to death most likely.

 

Pretty gutsy prediction.

 

I hear amazing stories like that.

 

I do not recommend that anyone who's hearing me pretend to be that good, or

give predictions like that.

 

Let's take good care of each other. We are after all extremely fragile. Lets

take care of each other as if we are fragile, because we are. All acts of

chivalry, bravery, courage, and so forth, are all pretended or attempted,

but can never for long be maintained. Take care, give the best possible

spin, as after all, admit it, you're not sure if what you're predicting is

really going to happen or not, and let me assure you, the big names in this

field get their predictions WRONG all the time, as I hear that over and over

as well. MORE than they hear it themselves.

oh my gosh, telling the woman that the boy would not survive iraq is

a horrible thing to say.

 

Krishnamurti (author of kp system) suggested an astrologer should

NEVER pronounce death and should try and say something encouraging.

In conditions of ill health his suggestion was an encouraging reading

can give the person some strength to overcome their situation.

 

A good astrologer can see the difficulties in a chart, but its best

to look for positive influences to see if theres some hope there, and

use that to encourage the person where possible.

 

Perhaps if poisoning was evident, the astrologer should have advised

that the boy in iraq take care of his food/liquid intake around such

and such date, or take some care at that time; as this was a period

he should be cautious. At least he would have had a chance to watch

out.

 

Otherwise what use is the prediction? An astrologer should put their

ego second to the welfare of the client.

Most people do not understand that astrology can only tell you the trend of how

things will be.It cannot predict exact events.

If I were a practicing astrologer and someone asked me questions like --- when

will I get a job? OR When will I get married? -- I wonder what answer I could

give?

It is almost like showing someone my chart and asking him to guess which movie I

had been to yesterday.

If an astrologer honestly says that he cannot tell,his clients will not be too

happy.He will lose business.So he has to make guesses on the basis of planetary

positions and these guesses may turn out to be wrong.

Nearly everything in life is subject to human error...and everyone will make a

mistake at some point in their life. Personally, I would prefer to hear the

complete truth, straight up... from an astrologer...or as close to it as

possible, rather than their watered-down version, in an effort to *spare* me &

my feelings. But, hey, I've have kids...nothing can scare me now ;-) If I

heard something from an astrologer that really worried me, I would probably get

a second opinion. I am always asking myself...Do I *really* want to know...

sometimes I do & sometimes I don't. If people don't want to know...then they

shouldn't ask. It is sometimes hard when you know what's going to happen...and

then it does. I warned my brother of his likely death two years before he died.

Because I knew his chart...I knew what to expect in advance & was not taken at

all by surprise. Knowing this in advance saved me a great deal of heartache &

grief. Had I not told him & looked the other way...I would

have felt like a coward. Honesty is so very important in a relationship...at

least to me.

Hey Robin,

 

How are you?

 

I agree with you about getting things straight up if

you ask for them. I prefer it too, and it annoys me to

get the "watered down version" - doesn't do me any

good.

 

Two problems, though: what if you didn't ask, and what

if the astrologer is wrong?

 

I was told when my father would die without my asking.

Turns out, I was quite grateful. It gave me the chance

not to waste the time left. I was also told I would

never marry - I didn't ask about that either. Wish I'd

not been told, but it didn't ruin my life either.

Still, I can imagine it ruining someone else's.

 

Also, I've heard SO MUCH that wasn't guessed right,

that what do you take as "straight up" and what do you

listen to? And who do you go to for a second opinion?

What if the second opinion is wrong and guy #1 was

right?

 

Either way, I guess the bottom line is that any

venture into the world of forcasting is a risk. And

we'd all be wise to be sure we are ready for anything

(the truth, the mistakes and stuff we didn't ask for)

before we "ask for it" by merely showing up for a

reading.
