Nodes in Reversal

I am interested in hearing anyone's thoughts, feelings, ideas,

personal experiences, etc. on transits of the nodes in reversal, i.e.

transiting Rahu conjoining Ketu and transiting Ketu conjoining Rahu.

This seems to be a very peculiar and challenging transit, as it

inverts these energies. Anyone willing to share their thoughts or

experience with this, it is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: the transiting nodal reversals, I have noticed

that they can bring major changeabouts in the life,

e.g., rescindment and retraction of plans and a

complete shift in one's interests and life path.

This configuration can indicate the rapid and

tumultuous resolution of challenging karmas,

particularly those related to past lives. Because of

this, they can also reflect times of confusion,

mishaps, accidents, losses, and often unusual

circumstances.

Juliana,

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, the reversal of nodes definitely does seem to bring about major

changes in life path. A major shift, not only in interests and

direction, but in orientation towards life and life path overall,

both internally and in external events. The nodes do tend to cause

confusion. I think in the case of reversal of nodes, the confusion

arises because the changes that are occuring are so sudden, radical,

tumultuous, and deep, that it can be extremely jarring and

disorienting to both the psyche and the soul. At the same time,

despite its complications, convolutions, and difficulties, I think

the transit is a great opportunity for real substantive

transformative change in life path to occur.

Thanks for your input. It is invaluable.

Shanti,

Susan

Hi Juliana,

I'm in agreement with both you and Susan on this. As an extreme example,

take the plight of one man who died in the recent tsunami. Born Dec 26,

1939, his family was celebrating his 65th birthday by going to a

Buddhist temple.

While on the way to the temple, the tsunami struck, killing the man and

six family members. One of his daughters was swept away in the water and

'rescued' by a man who then raped her.

She survived, with one sister, and is now shunned in her village because

of the rape.

The man had a natal Saturn/Ketu conjunction, which was not only picked

up by the transiting Nodes, but in addition transiting Saturn by

square.Transiting Mars joined this deadly duo by adding it's 6/8

relationship to the combination.

Best,

Steve

Hi Steven Stuckey and all...

Thanks for your recent post and comments about what I

had written on nodes in reversal. What a tragic story

you have shared. Would you mind also posting the chart

details so I can study the chart some more?

Jimi Hendrix, an idol of my early teenaged days (which

dates me, I know) died tragically in Sept. 1970 after

aspirating his vomit while intoxicated. He was born

11/27/1942/22:15/Seattle, WA.

Hendrix was running Ketu/Mars when he died. Ketu and

Rahu were transiting in their reverse positions in the

Maraka 2/8 axis, and Mars, along with Maraka Sun and

Ketu, were transiting conjoined natal Rahu in the 2nd

house, and transiting Rahu was conjoined Ketu in the

8th.

I am not saying that the nodes transiting in reverse

always cause death. These are extreme examples we have

given. I do not have many examples of charts with

majorly significant transits of nodes in reverse, and

am interested to know more if anyone wants to share

their research.

One more thing...Martha Stewart will be experiencing a

transit of the nodes in reverse beginning in March and

lasting for the next year and a half, and I think she

will be released from Alderson Prison in March or

April.

I imagine this will feel like a huge shift in fortune

for her, for the better, one hopes. I might be

concerned about her health in the next year or two

(liver/pancreas/cancer?), as Ketu/Mars are natally in

the 6th house in Pisces, currently in full aspect with

transiting Jupiter in the 12th, and she has

Jupiter/Saturn in Taurus in the 8th natally/6th from

the Moon, and she is running Rahu's Mahadasa.

Thanks...om shanti to all,

Juliana

Hi Juliana,

Sorry, no exact time of birth on this man. This was from a story on CNN

news that only gave the tsunami date as the man's birthday.

This month (Jan '05) could be a critical time for health or other

negative events impacting her. The end of this month looks like the

timeframe.

This based on her yearly and monthly charts as well as regular transits

at that time

Best wishes,

Steve

Hi All

Just experienced a reversal of nodes. The effects of the transit through the

5-11 axis (I am Gemini rising) have been more mental and related to my outlook

towards making money. It has turned out to be a time of shedding past

encumbrances and going into a totally new direction.
