Guest guest
Dear List Bush is running the end of Saturn Mahadasha. Saturn rules the 7th and 8th so the end of this dasha marks more 8th house affairs . Kerry has just started Mercury Mahadasha . Mercury rules 8th and 11th house affairs so the start of the dasha represents more 8th house affairs. So regardless of who wins the next 4 years are going to face some major obstuctions . Note also in this regard that when Bush ran against Gore Bush was running Saturn Rahu whilst Gore was running the reverse. So at any rate for all the millions spent the effect of the people's efforts will be at the margins. I previously made some tentative suggestions who I thought might win the election. It is now time to make a final prediction . It looks on one hand that the Kerry Edrwards era is starting since both are commencing mahadashas whilst Bush is finishing his Saturn one . However getting to the transit we find that on election day Kerry's Moon is transitting his 8th and his Sun Lord of career is tranistting the 12th . Previously when making a call on the Australian election I noticed that although Mark Latham had many positive placements on election day his Moon was trannsitting the 8th. Thus I correctly called a John Howard victory although I had thought Mark Latham would do better than he did. For Bush his Moon is transitting the 12th and Mars his Lord of career will transit the 4th albeit weakly.Venus Mars dispositor will be neecha. But I believe in Bush's chart it is Mars the Moon and Jupiter that have propelled him high and of those only the Moon will be troubled by transitting a bad house. In Kerry's chart it is the Sun and Moon that have propelled him high but Sun is neecha it's dispositor is neecha and transitting the 12th and Moon is transitting the 8th . To me it is like having your star players out injured for the final. Bush's chart does not seem to confer a strong victory but Kerry's chart does not seem to confer a victory at all .Bush also overall has the stronger chart . It is strong in rasi but utterly extraordinary in Navamsa. So my prediction is that Bush will win an unconvincing victory possibly marred by allegations of electoral malpractise .This should not be construed in any way as a support for his policies which I believe are poor. Kind regards Nicholas
Guest guest
Nicholas, Some interesting points. I agree with your assessment that Bush will prevail and that the result will be contested. I think the Bush D10 chart is much stronger at this time so that's another layer to consider. I also have long felt that that Bush having a Saturn return near the station is a huge endorsement for his continued power and a second term. It's a first house planet natally, so it gives him strength. This point about unconvincing results seems have captured the mood of the moment -- both among astrologers and non-astrologers alike. Most observers are expecting trouble, not least for disgruntled Democrats who will contest losing by a squeaker yet again. It's the sore loser syndrome coupled with a team of lawyers -- a bad combination. Saturn stations exactly conjunct the Mercury of the July 4 1776 chart of the USA for example. Finally, it's sad that one has to qualify one's predictions are no endorsement of person's policies. As if one has anything to do with the other. Is this how low astrology has sunk? (that's a rhetorical question, BTW) regards, Chris - "Nicholas" <jyotish108 <valist> Thursday, October 28, 2004 4:56 AM Election prediction > > > Dear List > > Bush is running the end of Saturn Mahadasha.
