Heart and Astrology

Dear List,

I write to all of you, concerning the planet for the heart. There

are a few questions that I have concerning the heart. When we say

Venus is the planet representing the heart, what do we mean? Is it

the planet that reflects upon the functional organ of the body or

the notional heart that means love, emotion, etc.,?

Furthermore, this question has real relevance to me since I

am married to Sejal, a woman who has Pulmonary Hypertension, a rare

but fatal disease. Among other things, she also has Congestive heart

Failure, and very nearly lost her life between 1 Oct and now. She

has been treated and the doctors call it a miracle. She is currently

recuperating her parents' place at Bombay. She is currently out of

danger, but we are not, repeat NOT out of the woods and probably

never will be considering the prognosis. She is still ailing but

rallying strongly. I would seek your help in identifying an

Astrological perspective.

She is born 14 May 1971, Mumbai (Bombay) India at 07:30 AM.

I am desperately seeking an answer, but in the circumstances am

unable to look at her chart effectively.

Please let me know if you need more birth data (we are

members of the PHA, an organisation in the US that has for members,

patients affected with Pulmonary Hypertension who can provide us

Some of the astrologers here in Bangalore lay a claim that

she has a lifespan exceeding 60 years, but in view of her current

situation, I would seek more.

Dear Ajay,

just reading your mail I want to make some short remarks

on the chart of the lady...only in my broken English with my limited

knowledge,

excuse please.

In the vedic chart it is the 4th house which rules the heart, and

the Karaka of the heart is Surya. In the case of the lady the lord of

the 4th house is also the Karaka of the heart...that is Surya.

And this lord of the 4th house and karaka is placed in the house of

loss, the 12th. That is of course not a good position, and the Sun is there

aspected by Kuja too, who is in conjunction with Rahu.

Mars a maraka of this chart and Lord of the 12th too,

is also aspecting the 4th house; so the heart trouble of the

lady is clearly to be seen from the horoscope.

There are oher factors too, for example Chandra in the 8th.

Though Surya is in uccha, it is somewhat weak because of its position

in mirtyu avastha. In Navamsa Surya is in a benefic sign, but in the

the 6th house.

Surya is with the lord of the 5th, which is good, but he is lord

of the 2nd too, that means a maraka.

Surya is with the lord of Lagna, which is good, but this graha

is the lord of the 6th too, which is bad.

And: Lagna Lord Shukra is in the 12th and aspected by

malefic Kuja, the same is with Lord of the 5th, Budha.

The lord of the 12th is in a good sign, but in a malefic

combination with Rahu.

At present the lady is running Chandra Dasha,

where the Moon is in the inauspicious 8th house,

causing trouble.

This is only a short analysis, but obviously the main

problem is the position of the Sun, the karaka of heart

and Lord of the 4th house.

The question is, whether such upayas in this case

like wearing a ruby can be helpful..because the Sun

and venus, the Lagna Lord are enemies and are

together in the 12th house.

I`m unable to decide this, may be there is someone who

can throw some light on this...

Hello dear Ajay,

Hare Krishna. May you find this in the best of your health and spirit.

According to the birth particulars, sign Taurus is rising at 20.04 degree.

Planets Venus, Jupiter, Mars, Rahu and Ketu are functional malefics and Sun,

Moon, Mercury and Saturn are functional benefic planets.

Due to bad placement of 4L Sun (Karka for Heart) in old age and 5L Mercury

in infancy ruler of Nerves, Artaries, Respiratory functions etc. in 12h of

malefic Mars besides the affliction of malefic Rahu to the Ascendant and 3rd

House of benefic Moon (Karka for health) occupying in 8h of most malefic

planet Jupiter are the reason of heart and general health problem.

Further, Rahu also afflicts Sun in Navamsa which is very obvious heart

problems. The chart is over all weak and valunerable to health. Any how,

the strength of benefic Moon is retained due to its placement in her own

sign in Navamsa . At present, the native is running weak sub period of

Mercury in the main period of Moon which brings and shows slow recovery.

The native must propitiate all the malefics and strengthen the benefic

VENUS IS NOT THE SIGNIFICATOR OF HEART. THE SUN IS. IF THE SIGN LIBRA

FALLS IN 4H, THEN THE VENUS BECOMES SIGNIFICATOR OF HEART, OTHERWISE NOT.

SUN IS THE KARKA FOR HEART, PRIMARY WHEN THE SIGN LEO IN 4H OTHERWISE

SECONDARY KARKA.

AS I SAID ABOVE, SHE IS IN THE WEAK BENEFIC PERIOD OF MERCURY IN THE MAIN

PERIOD OF BENEFIC MOON BOTH KARKA FOR HEALTH, SHE RECOVERS SLOWLY BUT CAME

Dear Ajay and Amar,

Ajay, my best wishes, prayers and blessings to you and your wife and family,

and may she regain her full health quickly. Thank you for sharing her chart

and the difficult situation regarding her health at this time.

Amar, thanks for your clear analysis of this chart. Also I believe as you

did for strengthening these planets and also would include planet Venus. I

am not knowledgeable for what you've said below for gems or recommending

them, but strengthening planets via chanting.

Lagna lord Venus in gandanta position and conjoined 5L Mercury (5H also

significator for heart) along with Sun, karaka for heart in 12H shows this

difficulty going on with the current dasas running. Also taking 5H from Moon

we arrive at this same Aries house with all these above mentioned planets,

so this is again repeated from Moon and Moon itself in 8H.

On Oct 1, Saturn, which natally sits at 2 degrees on the Lagna, had moved by

transit to 2 degrees Cancer, Mahadasa Moon's house and was then aspecting

natal 12H Aries house, and these natal planets again, while conjoining, but

by some distance with degrees, yet still in the same house as natal Ketu.

This while also natal Moon, Venus and Mercury are all in Ketu's stars, while

Sun is in own star, Krittika. On this day, natal Venus was again also in

gandanta position in transit and in Sun's house, and again in Ketu's star,

as was T Rahu while in a nakshatra exchange with T Ketu, now with Rahu in

this Aries house and Rahu Pratayantardasa lord...

And T Saturn once again aspecting T Sun, Mercury, Mars lord of this 12H, and

Jupiter lord of 8H where N Moon sits, now all in 5H Virgo owned by Antardasa

lord Mercury, lord of this house, and this day closely conjunct Sun, both

Sun and Mercury in Moon's star, and on this day Moon in transit in Aries

with T Rahu, this day triggering this difficult event.
