I could not help sharing the inspirations below.

Though these were professional readings, but the words of these consultants

inspired me a lot.

This is how one conveyed his feelings.

initially intended to. I have never heard so much

detailed study of a chart in my entire life. You

Another is a month back , I editing the name of famous persons he has

mentioned , because for my name I am not spitting on someone else.

First, I would like to tell you that I have some astrological knowledge, of

course less than you or some people that do it for a living. Just to tell

you, I had my chart read by some "famous" astrologers and I was very

disapointed. They can play the role but they did a chart for me and none of

them was accurate or detailed. Neither answered the questions that I put to

them about my own chart. One interesting thing of note is that most of these

N. Indian astrologers keep marketing new dasa systems that overlay over the

old. My guess is that if they were good astrologers that they could predict

without the myriad of data that is more confusing than enlightening. Having

something new under the sun (new dasa system) and peddeling it seems to be

their goal. I owned a couple of _____ books and one by ______. I

subsequently threw them away.

I have great interested in astrology. Yet, I'm bad tempered, sometimes a

lousy husband, and have bad habits.

 

I've been mulling over the idea of strength vs. quality in a chart. I have

no earth-shattering conclusion except the concept of jyotish is based on

opposites. So, although each planet has an innate quality, it must have

sufficient strength to deliver the goods. Defining the quality becomes much

harder in actual practice than most books led me to believe. So, the quality

of the planet and what is benefic and malefic is harder than it looks. My

point is that the quality of planets is tricky, at least to me.

 

The difficulties in interpretation arise when a good planet (in my case

Jupiter) rules a bad house, is found retrograde in an angle (magnifies the

energy which will be largely negative but not completely). One could debate

good planets in bad houses or bad planets, so to speak in good houses, or

retrogrades, or combustion, but lumped together it's a mixed bag without a

shining star to help me handle. The great person will often have some

dominant yoga or dominant placement that makes his greatness apparent. For

the rest of us, it's a mixed bag, like much of my present situation.

Interpreting the so called mixed bag is tricky and separates the men from

the boys.

I agree with the point that astrology is complex, or that a planet, to read

it, one must see the whole complex picture, that is, they have to take into

account so many things. I've tried to describe it as like a person, a

deity, who is travelling to other countries (signs) and meeting in the

"offices" of other leaders, who have complex feelings in return towards the

visitor, etc.

 

I find in this kind of complex view that things emerge correctly. Simple

rule based readings on the other hand are too simplistic. That's been my

feeling too.

In KP it is said that if there are no planets in the constellation of a

planet , that planet becomes a strong significator . For example , in a

chart if there are no planets in Aswini , Magha or Moola , Ketu becomes

strong . What happens if there are no planets in the lagna nakshatra

constellation ? For example if the lagna is in Ashwini , Magha or Mool and

these three nakshatras do not have any planet in them , what is the

significance ?

Your example will not work , because you are applying it wrongly.
