October 2004 Monthly Horoscope

 

General

 

The sky is dominated this month by eclipses -- a partial solar eclipse at 27

Virgo on the 14th and a total lunar eclipse at 11 Aries on the 28th. Individuals

with prominent placements near these points will be most affected and can expect

significant life developments in the days and weeks following the eclipses.

President Bush has his Moon Jupiter conjunction very close to 27 Virgo so look

for him to be re-elected.

 

Neptune has its direct station this month on the 24th at 20 Capricorn. The day

it goes direct it is also quincunx Mercury so some communications snafus are

more likely at that time.

 

The 4-planet stellium in Virgo continues for a couple more weeks until Mercury

and Sun move on to Libra. All in all, a good time for discriminating thinking,

analysis, and the application of strategic planning.

 

 

 

 

 

ARIES (Apr 13 - May 13) The month starts off on the right foot as your planet

Mars is in good company in Virgo with Jupiter, Sun, and Mercury. If you're

thinking of initiating new projects, now's the time. Your persuasive powers are

at their peak, so getting assistance to bring your wishes into reality will be

easier than usual. Home concerns may provide a distraction around the 7th. Watch

for the energy to be diluted somewhat after the 12th. Marital issues may come to

the fore after that time, especially on the 16th. Try to resist the temptation

to be overcontrolling. As Mars moves from Hasta to Chitra after the 22nd, your

focus may shift from the practical to the ideal. The 27th brings a busy social

schedule.

 

TAURUS (May 14 - Jun 14) With Venus in Leo for most of this month, your

interests may include the aesthetic and sensual realms. You may encounter more

artistic people at this time or find yourself beautifying your home environment.

Watch for overindulgence on the 5th. In the second half of the month, you will

deal with some lose ends. You may also find yourself helping out friends in

need. Expect to be called upon to pitch in. Avoid conflict if possible by

putting your own interests on hold. Have some herbal tea at the ready in case

the 27th is more stressful than you thought.

 

GEMINI (Jun 15 - Jul 15) October will feature more achievement and teamwork as

Mercury completes its transit in Virgo in your 4th house. Much of your life will

be focused on your household which will be busier than usual. You may have a

creative experience that reveals a new truth on the 9th. Some new leisure

activities may get your attention after the 12th. Make sure you don't have too

much fun around the 16th since there may be a downside you can't see. Avoid

travel around the 23rd if possible, or just don't expect your luggage to arrive

with you. On the 25th, money worries ease.

 

CANCER (Jul 16 - Aug 15) You're likely bursting with energy and enthusiasm this

month with all those planets in your 3rd house. Things may be a little out of

sync in the first week or two, as you may apply yourself to many different

projects simultaneously. Once Jupiter moves into Hasta on the 14th, however,

expect things to run more smoothly. This could be the right time to ask for a

raise or drum up support for the things you believe in. Expect a little friction

from superiors around the 19th. Applause will come your way on the 26th.

 

LEO (Aug 16 - Sep 15) You're the life of the party this month as Venus transits

Leo. Social situations are more frequent and more enjoyable now. Call in sick on

the 6th and get out and enjoy. You may also find inspiration amidst the

experience. Money may figure more prominently in your life at this time. Around

the 20th, a social setting may turn out to be more than you bargained for. A

little humility may be in order on the 25th as a sibling rivalry gets the best

of you.

 

VIRGO (Sep 16 - Oct 16) As Mercury fuels your engines in the first house, early

October should be a powerful time for you. So step up to the plate and hack away

-- you're bound to hit the ball. The 5th may be the best chance. Spiritual

concerns may come to fore in the first half of the month as well. Time spent in

meditation and seeking self-understanding will likely bear fruit. The 17th may

bring an uncanny experience or an unexpected communication. Resources will be

freed up for use in the last week of the month but be careful not to jump the

gun on the 25th.

 

LIBRA (Oct 17 - Nov 15) Your ruling planet Venus transits the 11th house in Leo

this month. Expect gains from foreign sources, especially around the 6th. You

may also make a new friend at this time who is in a position to help you. Watch

spending on luxuries and non-essentials, however, as Venus transits Purva

Phalguni from the 10th to the 18th. The second half of the month may flow even

smoother as you gain the respect of work colleagues. Some downtime might be in

order after the 25th, as you grow weary from all the attention and excitement.

 

SCORPIO (Nov 16 - Dec 14) You will have the knack of getting what you want this

month as your ruling planet Mars transits Virgo. Much of your success will come

from your ability to create effective plans that work quickly. The first half of

the month looks better for gains and boosting income opportunities. Around the

16th, an unusual experience may put you in touch with your subsconcious. Don't

forget to take notes. Spending may increase in the second half, especially on

the 23rd. As Mars enters Chitra after the 24th, look for progress at work to

bring accolades.

 

SAGITTARIUS (Dec 15 - Jan 13) Your life will continue to focus on the workplace

in October as your ruling planet Jupiter and its dispositor transit the 10th

house Virgo. Generally, you will be recognized for your talents by colleagues,

although any gains in income or status may have to wait until the second half of

the month. Expect to be shaken out of your routine around the 8th. There may be

a snafu on the 16th that confuses matters for a short while but by the 19th it

all comes out roses. A matter involving an older sibling may gain your attention

toward the end of the month.

 

CAPRICORN (Jan 14 - Feb 12) Travel and philosophy may preoccupy your thoughts

this month, especially in the first half. This would be a good time to expand

your horizons in those areas. Look for an unexpected setback at work around the

7th and beware the shortcomings of overanalyzing things on the 13th. Work

assumes greater importance in the second half, as the boss is in your face on

the 19th. Your reputation is boosted on the 26th.

 

AQUARIUS (Feb 13 - March 13) Your mind is working at a high frequency this

month. This is a great time for research and explorations into the unknown. You

may encounter an unusual person with extraordinary abilities that influences

your thinking around the 16th. Be careful not to overextend yourself around the

19th since partners may resent your assertions. Look for further introspective

excursions with your spouse on the 24th.

 

PISCES (March 14 - Apr 12) With Jupiter in the 7th house along with Mercury,

Mars and Sun, the first half of the month is a great time to assess partnerships

of all kinds. There could be some rough spots in the early going, but by month's

end matters will be on the upswing. Activity generally should be on the

increase. Around the 5th, a promising image of a desired future may be weakened

through disagreement. The 17th may open your mind to unusual possibilities.

Don't fall prey to oversensitivity. Money may come from an unlikely source in
