I am aware of the connection with Aryuvedic Medicine, Astrology and the Vata Pitta Kapha system. >From what I have read people generally judge the constitution of the individual based on their Astrological elemental makeup.. Must have something to do with the balance of nature. Ayurveda and Joytish were strongly connected a long time ago but somewhere they were divided. More precisely, if you go deep both the ancient shastras of ayurveda and astrology, originated from vedas, like Charaka Samhita,.Sushruta Sahmita and Vrihat Jataka and vrihat parasara samhita, you will certainly get clear vision how each and every part of the body and respective disorders are related to planets and also respective planets are related to herbal plants and how it works more powerfully if given in appropriate time with respective mantras, perhaps which will be new discovery of astro-ayurveda. I 'm not saying that there is not a link between the two; And I know and can see how the planets affect each body part, But they seem two run in opposites in regards two there qualities. In other words if a person had a debilitated Sun, you would think that they would have less Pitta in their constitution; or a person with a debilitated Moon, that they would have less Kapha, Mercury - Vata and then how can a non-Pitta planet be responsible for a pitta portion of the body, or a Pitta planet (Sun) be responsible for a Vata (bones) Part of the body. It's not like these opposites run through just a few of my charts. It is consistent throughout my charts, which leads me to believe this is the way its suppose to be. All thinks in balance. .... You can find in any astrological book about VAATA, PITTA, KAPHA nature of planets. The basic principles of medical astrology deal with analyses of TRIDOSHA(Planets) in the BODY(Zodiac). I dont agree with the opinion that planets turn out to be opposite of what their natures are. Most of the times what shows up in a person as a TRIDOSHA is a mixture of ALL influencing planets. So the nature, as I have taken 'body typing' for, is not only Moon or Sun sign but ALL with all planets. Coming to chakras, they are a part of the system and not the WHOLE! The chakras correspond to ductless glands where they are posited. One can refer to SHAT-CHAKRA NIRUPANA a yogic classical text in sanskrit(English translation - Sir John Woodroff) to know the position of Chakras exactly to impart them a glandular status. Whenever harmonic imbalance or disease is found, chakras play a major role in medical astrological analyses. LAST BIT: The percentage of influence of planets are proportional to their shadbala(six basic strengths) and avashta(ten basic states).
