Guest guest
Has someone in this group information about a text called the SaudhikAgama? I ask because I try to find information about the 64 Yoginis and their role in Jyotish. In SaudhikAgama the period of day and night is divided into 30 muhurtas (1 muhurta = approximately 48 minutes), fifteen for the day and fifteen for the night. Each muhurta is governed by 2 Yoginis, which would make 60 Yoginis for a day and night. But because the morning dawn and evening twilight (Ushas & Sandhya) have for Yoginis each, we get the number of 64 Yoginis. Has someone information about this system? Guest guest
Dear Claudia, Just saw on the GJ list your query on Yoginis. If it is on Kala Chakra & Yogini dasa etc, I would humbly suggest something here, my friend just returned after meeting one of the most famous astrologers and even there the discussion was on Yogini Dasa etc. It is advised not to learn Yogini Dasa etc since Yoginis means demons etc, only two authors have written about it and one has committed suicide and the other left astrology due to many reasons. Usually if at all this sytem is taught then it is done so with protection (Kavach) and then only the student learns without harm. Some symptoms to see when one uses this conditional dasa is relations go bad. I don't intend to discourage you, this sytem can only be learnt through Parampara and that too from a competent Guru and if he is a nice Guru he would tell you never to use it. Hope this helps. Sushmita P.S: I tried sending this message to your personal email id but it has bounced back. gjlist, matridasa <matridasa> wrote: > Has someone in this group information about a text called the SaudhikAgama? > I ask because I try to find information about the 64 Yoginis and their role in Jyotish. > In SaudhikAgama the period of day and night is divided into 30 muhurtas > (1 muhurta = approximately 48 minutes), fifteen for the day and fifteen for the night. > Each muhurta is governed by 2 Yoginis, which would make 60 Yoginis for a day and night.
