Guest guest
Dear All: I was under the impression, in my brain,....hehehe that when the Moon is exactly Full or New... whilst...the Sun and/or Moon is in the same sign as Rahu or Ketu, that corresponds with the Eclipses... For example this up-coming April 19th.... a day which is a New Moon, by the way, which means the Moon & Sun are in the same House/Sign... but in the same sign as one of the nodes; in this case it's Rahu which is at 17 degrees of Aries... The Moon & Sun are at the heighth of their New Moonness.... at 7:15am cst. US when the Moon & Sun are exactly 5:53 degrees/minutes in Aries. Hope this helps... Mark Kincaid This is a Solar Eclipse, by the way, because the Moon, being New, means it's between the Earth and the Sun, and therefore is 'eclipsing' the Sun... The opposite is true 2 weeks later when, during the next Full Moon, the Moon and Sun are opposite... This time, the Sun will be at 20 degrees Aries and the Moon 20 degrees of Libra. But, the nodes, Rahu & Ketu, are in the same signs as the Sun and Moon. This is a Lunar Eclipse... as it's the Earth that's between the Sun and the Moon, hence the earth is 'eclipsing' the Moon.... > Das Goravani <> > gjlist > Tue, 02 Mar 2004 10:51:10 -0800 > <gjlist> > [GJ] Why nodes don't match eclipses > > > Hi > > I can't answer this, but I once heard it answered by someone who sounded > correct, but I can't remember what they said (I reserve the right to be in > charge of scheduling memory parking places in my brain). > > My point is, it's OK, relax, it's all good. > > Astronomy is complex enough to where these two do simultaneously exist (an > eclipse not aligned with the corresponding node at the time. > > das/roik Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya; Hare Krishna; Om Tat Sat > : gjlist- > > > Links > > > > >
