I have question with reference to the above issue. When it is said

that a given planet is in exaltatiion or debilitaion in a given sign

at a given degree does it means that the degree should be exact for

this to hold true.

eg I have jupiter in capricorn. Now as per the rule at 5degree in

capricorn it is debilitated. Is it still debilitatied if it is more

than 5degree or less than 5 degree.

To rephrase my question for a planet to be exalted or debilitated has

the degrees to be exact or it can be more than or less than as long

as it is in the reuqired sign to qualify for its status.

Dear Lisa

Generally vedic astrologers consider a planet exalted or debilitated across

the whole sign .

Hi,

Jupiter stays debilated in whole of Capricorn but at 5 degrees it is at the

lowest.
