I have Leo Lagna so this happens to be the 10thH. Saturn is considered to be the alechemists' gold and cuts away all dross relating to social worth, status and matters related to career. I am going through a highly tormenting time in matters relating to career. In fact the focus of the Sade-Sati has been on the 10thH. The Guru MD has not helped in this particular direction though it has in all others. Saturn has deprived me of a career thus far since 1998 when the Sade- Sati started. The affliction of the luminaries in the 10th by Saturn and Rahu's 5th aspect from the 6th has perhaps made for more horrors, setbacks and trials, failures and humiliations than would normally be the case. But then Lord Saturn's revelations are divine and lasting. Sade-Sati is going down for Taurus now and let us ee what world Saturn leaves me with then. I lost my father in 1975 and have had some tough initiations in public life and overall way in which I am perceived by the world. I shudder to think of the impact of the sade-sati if Jup MD was not on. My details are: 11,June,1972;10:15AM;Cuttack,Orissa. Anurag Sharma. Guest guest
Hi Rick I have Saturn in the 10th (11th in Rasi) but in Libra and I always had to work harder than my colleagues with little recognition. Guest guest
Dear Das, Without reference to other factors in the chart, this should be a strong placement: Lord of 9/10 in the 10th in its own sign. It could mean great achievement or responsibility in career or public affairs, a strong sense of independence or self-determination (someone who works for themselves or is the big boss) and perhaps in a humanitarian or some other Aquarian context (e.g., scientific, eccentric or avant garde). However, Saturn being Saturn, I would also expect some delays or disappointments in matters of career and a lot of hard work/burdens. Also, the person might have an authoritarian streak, thinking they know best what others need. Trish Francis
Guest guest
Hi EveryOne, The Saturn in the 10th is 'KARKO BHAVNASHAY' which means if the KARAK is in its own 'house' (NOT BY RASHI), the significance of the house gets destroyed by him. Nixon, Kennedy and Emperor AKBAR of INDIA had this SATURN. Indira Gandhi had 3rd aspesct of the Saturn fronm the first. There are many examples in the business world also. gjlist, sonia tanganchi <dhanus10> wrote: > Hi Rick > > I have Saturn in the 10th (11th in Rasi) but in Libra and I always had to work harder than my colleagues with little recognition. I seldom get what I wish > for. Hello Sonia and everyone, Interesting. My daughter also has Saturn in 11th in Libra in Rashi and I think she would say the same thing though she did get one thing in life that others don't always get- a REALLY COOL father! But on a more serious note, her life is one of being serious, not frivolous, and not "fun". I know she longs for more fun and joy, but is overall "ok" with what is. It would seem that Sani in 11 in Ucha (exaltation) would be a strong lock down on the house of dreams and desires, or make them come only from firm planning, slowly, etc. She is one of the best people I know however, very sober, and wise beyond her years. She doesn't fall for the illusions, and life won't let her either. Another woman I know who has Saturn in 10th in Aquarius, own sign, strong, well, she is nearly 40 and still has never found any real work or career and remains very upset about just floating along without a real calling or career. In other words, her "rise" and "career", 10th house matters, are not being benefitted so far, but rather, are being held back it seems, by this strong Saturn. That's what I'm wondering about from the learned. What does Saturn in the 10th when well place there do? Thanks Sonia, and any others who might answer. Also what one would expect. For this nearly 40 year old woman however, perhaps the fact that she has 1st/7th lords in the 8th is just the Raja Yoga breaker to make all of the above not manifest. She's a dependent who complains and does almost nothing. > However, Saturn being Saturn, I would also > expect some delays or disappointments in matters of career and a lot of hard > work/burdens. Nothing but delay in career, ie, no career, and yes, they think they know best for the world, for everyone, and they rather dislike authorities of all types completely. Guest guest
June 12, 1961...Same here for disappointments in career, work hard for no recognition and whatever does occur is grudgingly given and multiple father issues as well. In order to survive psychologically/emotionally one has to learn to validate one's self....find a reason to succeed (however you define that) within one's soul as opposed to hearing the applause from the crowd. I, too, have Saturn in Cap in the 10th. Guest guest
HI, The SATURN is a sad planet and yogakaraka for your ascendant. It won't turn you into BUDDHA but you will have a philosophical outlook towards life..............like so.............far.........but......... so..........near! Regards. Guest guest
> delhi_tagore > > Can we dicuss on astrological reasons for such results of > saturn in 10th house irrespective of Rashi it is in. Simple: Saturn is a big heavy weight, and rules things like obstacles, slowness, oldness, brittle, dry, dead, dieing...as well as focus, the big boss, the one you can't get around, no escaping him, etc. Notice Saddam was the big man, now he experiences no escape. Those are mega-saturn experiences. Therefore sometimes they say "great heights, great falls". The tenth is one's rise, standing up, career (how it changes, whereas the 7th is one's "trade")- career is the rises and falls, as much as the 10th house is straight up over us always. Face east, and point to it, that's first house, always, point straight down, that's 4th, straight up, that's 10th. So it rules how you will rise, stand, and survive. In Prasna the 10th is "will it happen, survive, etc" If the 10th is weak the thing has a hard time standing, may be back issues actually, and also the entities life may not seem very successful in terms of "success" and "survival", or struggle is present always to live. So combining these two means that the active agent, Saturn, applys his qualities onto the matters of that house. So ouch. It's not an easy placement to live under, (literally). When the native was born, the planet of weight and heaviness was straight up, and signifies struggle in the life. Irrespective of sign. The sign will color how it does it's work, in what attitude, mood and some other karaka's are brought in by the sign. Guest guest
saturn in 10th is a bad placement.. except for some Ascendents like capricorn , gemini and libra........ in the 10th saturn will be an outright malefic unless he is exalted or positioned very well in the navamsa.. ........but this alone doesnt decide the predictions of the house as the lord of the 10th house should also be taken into consideration.. his placement in navamsa and other charts..these factors actually will tell the most of it.. but an astrologers intution is what that makes things more insightful. so if at all there are discussions i think one should have a broad mentality and vision... our interest in astrology .. and some so called afficianados.. any keep rockin guys. bye thanks New Photos - easier uploading and sharing
