Guest guest
Dear lisa? and all: Typically gems are related to particular Planets. Though you'll hear different principles for how you pick which Planets should you strengthen depending upon what your charts, say and which rising signs you might have. One famous Indian Ayurvedic vaigya said one time, 'To sleep on it' and see how well your sleep goes?" I understand though the one authority you mention who was conserned because blue sappire may increase Saturn's power. But it's a fascinating field. I, for example have Mars debilitated in my chart, and the normal rule of thumb is to recomend red coral for Mars. But every time I put on red coral, either on a finger or necklace I get so irritable and then later the thought occured to me that even though I need to strength a certain Mars quality in my chart... still according to my Shad bala part of my chart, Mars is my strongest planet. So, you might follow the suggestion and try and feel it for yourself. It's been said, in India, that 'you will be your own best Jyotishee' and maybe this is one area that you might need to exercise your own feedback. Personally, I don't think gems are nearly as powerful as most people talk about. I have had the most postive results by learning to understand the Planets, better! Each Planet has a natural Astrological symbolism which explains the range of possible effects of that Planet. And within that range, the Planet can be benefic in it's fully developed capacity, and malefic when we're out of tune with that same planet. So, we could learn to aspire to be more in-tune with the Malefics in our charts. I know it seems most times, that the malefics are clammering for our attention! When I finally grasped that Saturn was wishing that I become aware of why I was out of tune with him, then my true wisdom of Saturn began. And the test is when the negative effects of our Malefics, start diminishing and/or going away. For Mars, the feedback are simple things like bumping our elbow as we rush through the door, to a slip at the bottom of the stairs. As accidents are the natural 'signification' of Mars, accidents are a good indication of the functioning malefic quality going on. But, once we get it, that we're going too fast, even when we have this big meeting coming up.... then things start to smooth out for us! Striving to be more in-tune with the planets through just gems may be an ok beginning, but there's much more .... that we can participate in to gain each planets benefic true nature! Guest guest
Dear Mark, I agree to your point that we need to find what works best for us but how as I had posed the qeustion before how would a layman know that . In most cases one has to go by the word of the astrologer whom one is consulting. Infact, sometimes I feel the clients become more of an experiment grounds. Somebody in the glist suggested me the mantra remedy and appreciate that very much. I was doing shani mantra on regular basis and found that it was making any difference. Infact, I also did some Satuday fasting with having only dinner and only liquids during the day but it did not make me feel good or rather did not make any difference in my current situtaiton. Maybe there might be more than what I know to this saturn issue or may be its not that important in my chart but then why was I told that I had Ashtam Shani and what was described as life of people with Ashtam Shani was very very true in my case. However, one thing I must acknowledge that all this disucssions are throwing a lot of light and teaching me how to look at same thing from differnt angles. May be I may find answer to my quesitons somewhere in these disucssions. Rina.
