Guest guest
Dear Lisa Desai I would like to comment and in so doing attempt to take your conversation about Blue Saphires to a newer level than your post expressed. Your post was very much like "localized magic conception". Meaning, "put on a stone and get a material result I like (or not)". This conception is very much like the child who prays to God for a certain toy. How about instead, you see it this way: The stones represent and radiate like the associated planet. They thus bring that vibration more close to you, more into your life. Putting on a Saturn stone means to invite Saturn into your life moreso. Are you ready for that? Yes, it can be a good thing. Yes, Saturn also rules intense things we will meet but don't look forward to, and often try to ignore or forget they're real, and coming. But depending on your chart, Saturn may or may not be a benefic for you. For Taurus rising it is certainly a Benefic planet by lordship, and is at it's best. Same goes for Libra rising almost. To unilaterally put down inviting Saturn into one's life is to rule out and put to shadow a major part of the creation and the Divine plan for us all. It cannot actually be done. Putting on stones means to recognize your transition into a new planetary phase of acceptance, cooperation, and witnessing. Is it time for you to Saturnize? That is the question when considering the strong, deep and blue, Saphire. Richard Mackai
Guest guest
Dear Das Gorvaniji, First of all my Namaste to you and also thank you for introducing all of us who are interested in vedic astrology with each other through Glist. Now coming to my question I agree that my peception may be wrong in the sense that I expected the gem stone to be a magical object giving me some tangible results when I possess it. However, it was hard for me to frame the exact question and I was also confused as there is no concrete explanation to it available. Your definition will definitely help me to think in a new direction but here's my concern how would a person (assuming totally devoid of astrology knowledge) know whether somebody suggesting him or her any gem stone would be good or bad for oneself. Rephrasing my question how would one know whether he or she should invite that energy in one's life by wearing on that gemstone. Also I would like to add one more thing in general there is so rigid classificaition with planets and their characteristics or their effects like Shani means malefic, bad bringing troubles etc and Guru mean very benefic , good luck etc that it is hard call to deciding on accepting or rejecting an astologers decision which is again limited to what you should wear or not wear and no deeper explanaitons given. By the way I am piseces rising with Saturn,Sun and Venus in 3rd house, Moon in 8th,Jup in 11th,Mar in 12 and don't recall the placement of others .
