Guest guest
respected list members I was informed that the north Indian horoscope style was created by the Muslims, and that the South Indian style is the original. Can anyone comment as to what is true? regards Arthur
Guest guest
Om Namo Narayanaya, Dear Artur, North Indian Chart is called Bhrigu chakra according to sage Bhrigu, while south indian chart is called Guru Chakra. Both Shukra and Guru are Brahmins, so both charts are traditional and vedic. nothing with muslims.. There is also Surya chakra. These methods are correct and should be followed. Guest guest
If one study history of jyotish, it is obvious that North Indian Chart style was influenced by muslims. South Indian Style is found in the works of Jaimini Rsi. The North and East Indian system is not mentioned by any Rsi. Much more can be written..but no time.... Guest guest
Dear Zoran Many thanks for clarifying the chart styles. I'll get back to the source who said otherwise and advise you if he can disprove your statement. Thank you for all your enlightening postings. regards Arthur on 10/09/2003 3:15 am, Zoran Radosavljevic at ahimsa wrote: > Om Namo Narayanaya, > Dear Artur, > North Indian Chart is called Bhrigu chakra according to sage Bhrigu, > while south indian chart is called Guru Chakra. Diagram of Dristhis. As depicted by Lord Brahma, I now narrate the diagram of Drishtis, so that Drishtis are easily understood by a mere sight of the diagram. Draw a square, or a circle marking the 8 directions (4 corners and 4 quarters thereof). Mark the zodiacal Rasis, as under: Mesh and Vrishabh in East, Mithun in the North-East, Kark and Simh in the North, Kanya in the North-West, Tula and Vrischik in the West, Dhanu in the South-West, Makar and Kumbh in the South and Meen in the South-East. This slokas seems to be like East Indian Chart? Warm Regards S.
