Help needed on Yogi and Avayogi

Hi,

 

I had read in another forum some time ago abt yogi and avayogi. I am

presenting below the text of a discussion below. It would be nice if

some one who has used it before could clarify some questions I have

on the same.

 

Calculation of Yogi and Avayogi:

 

Take longitude of sun (including sign)and add to moon(including

sign) then add constant figure 93 degree and 20 minites .deduct from

360 if it exceed more than it.take nakshatra ruling for resultant

degree.. lord of that naxatra becomes yogi..and 6th nakshatra from

that becomes avyogi.

 

Yogi in any bhava modifies the results of that bhava favourably and

Avayogi does the reverse.

 

Example:

17/11/1978

17:51 PM

Bangalore

 

Sun is in Scorpio(1deg 41`) and Moon is in Gemini(2deg 23')

Aries to Sun is 7 houses and to moon is 2 houses.

= ((7 * 30) + 1 deg 41) + ((2 * 30) + 2deg 23') + 93 deg 20'

=367deg 24'

 

367deg 24' - 360deg

7 deg 24'

 

This falls in Ashwini Nakshatra, lord Ketu hence YOGI.

therefore AVAYOGI is lord of Ardra, Rahu.

I do have some doubts regarding this,

 

1) What happens in case of Yogi and Avayogi being conjunct ?

2) What happens in case Avayogi happens to be a AtmaKaraka too ?
