Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Well, that is out of my understanding capacity that without sound how vibration of mantras can be generated. May be I have to learn that. But there are something else in mantra which are called 'Bij', 'Samput' etc. like 'Aum','Hum','Jum' etc. These are actually sound and if said silently I don't think it may create any effect. Well, I'm not expert in this subject so I can't say anything confidently but I'm not convinced with silent saying of mantras. regards, Tushar --- Wendy Vasicek <wenvas wrote: > Dear Tushar, > > If I might interject here. Guest guest
Dear Tushar, Silent repetition (meditation) of the seed (bija) mantra corresponding to Moon's nakshatra lord is said to effortlessly lead us towards self-awareness. It's said that, as this was the predominant sound (of the universe) when we came into this existence, this very same primordial sound can lead us back to cosmic consciousness. Sound, such as the humming of the universe or the vibration of a mantra, does not have to be audible to be heard. To hear it reverberating within the centre of one's being is the path of meditation. Best Wishes,Wendy http://JyotishVidya.comJyotishVidya Please send queries to group -not to me personally.--------- - Tushar gjlist Saturday, July 19, 2003 4:58 PM Re: [GJ] Re: mantras - Wendy Dear Wendy,Well, that is out of my understanding capacity thatwithout sound how vibration of mantras can begenerated.
