Guest guest
Dear Johm, I have visited the site you have refered, but I wonder the author said two contradictory things. (1) At one place he said that sound is energy and that is the most important factor in mantra (2) At another place he said that 'saying mantras silently is the most powerful way to say them' in FAQ section I don't know how these both can be right may be author is not clear yet. This is for just convey to you that it is not good site actually and does not have enough information. May be CDs can be excellent. regards, Tushar --- John Melka <jmelka wrote: > Michael, > > I would strongly recommend Thomas Ashley-Farrand's > site www.sanskritmantra.com . > > His CD's and tapes are excellent and he has > excellent enuniciation which is essential to the > correct usage of mantra. Guest guest
Dear Tushar, If I might interject here. The vibrational quality of a mantra doesn't have to be audible to be affective. In fact the more subtle the vibration, the more powerful it is (as in silent affirmations). The author is 100% correct in what he says :-) Best Wishes,Wendy http://JyotishVidya.comJyotishVidya --------- - Tushar gjlist Saturday, July 19, 2003 3:27 PM Re: [GJ] Re: mantras - John Dear Johm,I have visited the site you have refered, but I wonderthe author said two contradictory things.(1) At one place he said that sound is energy and thatis the most important factor in mantra(2) At another place he said that 'saying mantrassilently is the most powerful way to say them' in FAQsectionI don't know how these both can be right may be authoris not clear yet. This is for just convey to you that it is not goodsite actually and does not have enough information.May be CDs can be excellent.regards,Tushar
