GJ V3 Alpha CD's for Pro's Available

Jyotish Studio Version 3, the new name of Goravani Jyotish, is nearly

complete. I have made what is known as an "Alpha" CD.

 

This means that it is a copy of the program even though it's not done. This

means it is loaded with bugs, and some features flat out aren't even

finished, don't work at all, or do something very strange. Yet, it is 90%

working.

 

It has many new and exciting features. It is essentially entirely different

from version 2.26, it's predecessor.

 

I have made an alpha CD installer for Windows only. It is available to

current owners of Goravani Jyotish for $108. That will be the upgrade price

when it is released for real, so if you get the alpha, when the real thing

appears, you will pay $10 just to cover costs of reshipping the new CD at

that time. So this is like buying the upgrade now, in advance, and playing

with it as it gets completed.

 

This is ONLY FOR COMPUTER PROS. This is NOT FOR BEGINNERS.

 

Do NOT order this CD if you are in any way a beginner on your Windows

Computer.

 

There is NO support for this CD or Version yet. I cannot afford to support

this version at this time personally. I have already sent this alpha CD to a

few Pro computer users, and they had no problems installing it or using it.

 

So if you are a Pro user on your Windows 98 through XP system, and you own

Goravani Jyotish, you can upgrade for $100. If you wish to buy Goravani

Jyotish at this time, I would be glad to provide you with both 2.26 and the

Alpha version of 3 at this time if you so desire, but again, you must be a

Pro to have the alpha version of 3, please. Otherwise, just stick with 2.26

at this time. It's MUCH MORE bug FREE.

 

The reason I am doing this is to begin discussion on the features of 3, and

to get feedback, and to provide it to you, because it is so very cool in so

many ways.

 

The ordering can be done through my usual order forms, just use the note

field to indicate your desire, ie, tell me you want V3.

 

Those who are current owners of GJ and who upgrade for the $108, will be

noted in my customer database as being a Version 3 user. Thus, when the

release version appears in some time, I will be able to see that, and they

will only have to pay the customary $10 for covering my costs of producing

and sending the new CD at that time.

 

Version 3 requires a code exactly the same as Version 2.

 

Version 3 will co-exist easily and nicely on the same computer with Version

2. There is NO conflicts between them.

 

However, there is one drawback: For Version 3 I have reworked the fonts,

changing their internal size. This will make them appear small in version 2.

 

They are the same font names, so they will replace the fonts from version 2.

So, when you print from version thereafter, the planets will appear a little

smaller, also on screen, they will appear a little smaller.

 

Those who are running astrological businesses may wish to be careful here,

because not everything prints from V3 yet correctly, so installing it may

slightly interrupt your business, make your version 2 printouts appear

funny, without offering proper replacements for them from V3.

 

For viewing transits, color printouts, dashas, email, general onscreen

appearnace and abilities, V3 far exceeds Version 2. In many ways it is

vastly superior.

 

There is no loss to upgrading now, for many, as you either pay now or pay

later, the $108, so it's the same now or later, just the $10 later when the

real thing appears. I may release a "beta" CD at some point, which means

that it is done, but being bug tested, which is called "beta testing" in the

software industry.

 

Those who are familiar with computers and software know exactly what I'm

talking about. If you do not, then better to stear away from this

opportunity at this time.

 

Version 3 will "reach out" to version 2 at your command and "bring over" all

the charts you have in version 2, without export/import- it just asks you to

show it version 2, then it accesses the datafile of Version 2 itself, and

brings over the data- quite slick. You can do this repeatedly, so you need

only enter charts into V2, then "bring them into" V3 anytime.

 

V3 has the most amazing coverage of the standard Parashara dasha systems

that you have ever seen, from 8 levels to many printing options, to events

showing, emailing of, and so on...it's awesome.

 

The color printouts will astound you.

 

I am working alone and catching up in many ways due to being out of

commission for so long. I cannot handle any hassles over this at this time,

so all things in this regard must be done without bothering me.

 

So use the order forms on my website or email me your order, or mail me your

order, but please don't call me. That's my sincere request.

If you are an owner of GJ already PLEASE SAY SO. I will also be checking my

database to make sure of this.

 

If you are NOT, I'll be charging you $295. If you are a user, it's $108 to

upgrade.

 

What I'll be sending you is a single CD with NO booklet or instructions of

ANY TYPE. In fact, on the CD, is only the Version 2 manual. So as for

instructions, there are NONE.

 

But users who know computers won't need any.

 

After installing it, you will have to explore it yourself. The online help

is not done at all yet. That's still to be done.

 

We could discuss it on the GJLIST of course.

 

One reason I'm doing this is to help me commit to action more and more. As

questions arise, that will help me to clarify my programming, make the

features better, write documentation for them, share that on the list, and

so forth. It will be an interactive type of finish for the program, where

some of you will be interactively helping me to polish the baby off and get

it done.

 

I think this is fun and exciting. I hope a few PROS agree with me.

 

You need not be a programmer, but you must know how to use your operating

system, delete folders, drag files, understand Windows well, and so on. I

don't want to lead anybody through any basics of WIndows usage.

 

There is NO Mac version yet. I write it on the Mac, so it's not that I'm

abandoning the Mac. NO WAY. There will be Mac, and OSX Native Aqua at

release time, and soon enough. I just made the Windows INSTALLER first since

95 % of you use Windows (though I'm in the 5% personally).

Part of Jyotish Studio V3 is an online Jyotish Classics Library, consisting

of a number of standard classics. Royalties are paid for these to the

appropriate publishers. You can look up words or groups of words instantly.

This is comparable to producsts already offered by other companies with

similar functionality. The best and largest standard classics are included

in this feature, which is done and useable in the alpha version.

There is more to version 3 than what is shown there, but at least there's a

start at what it offers there.

 

Lastly, if you have questions, try to think carefully about them, and

consolidate them down to the essential, then, ask them on the list, so that

all can see the answer. I cannot correspond personally with hundreds of

people and get anything else done. I need to keep this process a group

process, and as simple and clean as possible.
