Guest guest
Greetings to everybody, I am pleased to announce to you a new site : "Astrologie-Védique". http://users.skynet.be/Astrologie-Védique/ You will find the article on "the Antiquity of Vedic Astrology" in English (with links towards texts and photos) http://users.skynet.be/Astrologie-Vedique/english.htm (Also in French, Spanish, German, and Italian). ----------------------- > Summary of the article of "the Antiquity of Vedic Astrology" : According to the Indians (from India), their astrology dates from more than 5,000 years and the Vedas, which are the most ancient writings, date from much before still... Then... are these myths or real facts ? The antiquity attributed to the Vedas by the official version (maximum 1,200 BC) is not in agreement with that of the Indian chronology, which gives much more ancient dates (up to 3,900 BC and more). What the archaeological excavations in India revealed support the astronomical datings of Vedic texts. Harappean India was the greatest urban civilization in the world during the 3rd millennium BC (3,300-1,900 BC). Recently, the ³Harappa² script finally revealed its secrets.. and the most ancient scripts are 5,500 years oldŠ And recent discoveries of Indian submarine archaeology have brought to light what may be the oldest Œcity¹ in the world, a 9,500 year-old vestige was found thereŠ On the other hand, from the Western point of view, the dating of Rig-Veda with 1,200 BC does not rest on any scientific and/or archaeological bases. And moreover, the "Aryan invasion theory" (which is at the origin of this dating) clashes with the geological, archaeological, genetic and anthropologic evidence discovered during the last 2 decades. Finally... Vedic astrology, the 12 signs and the 7 planets (+ nodes) seem well to be able to be dated at least from the 4th millenium before JC in India... well before Mesopotamia or Greece ! ----------------------- If you have ideas, suggestions, comments as for the contents of the site or the article, you can send them to my private email : mcsclifet I will read them with great pleasure and great interest. With the pleasure of reading you :-) In a friendly way, Best regards, Marie-Christine Sclifet
